Yeah, the notable difference was that the women were in on it with Kraft...because they were actual prostitutes, and with Watson, the women weren't in on it because they weren't actual prostitutes, just women he treated like they were prostitutes.
I don't see why Watsons even allowed to negotiate a punishment. But it should be at least 12 games and $25 million because of that bs contract.
I think they'll absolutely get a full season suspension if they let the arbitrator make the decision...but perhaps Watson can offer something else that would make them lower the amount of games. Otherwise, I think the NFL would just wait on the decision to come down. We'll see, I guess.
I say 12 games and a fine. Watson pays to be able to play 5 games of the year + Playoffs if they reach
It’s like I said all along. Couple extra games and a fine. It was all bullshit from the start. That way the NFL can pretend like they were outraged and took a stand, but without Watson ever actually at risk of missing the season. It couldn’t be any more obvious.
I think part of it is they don't want to go to court, they would be shown as hypocrites. I think they land at 12 games and 10 million but it better be soon or the puppet......errrrr.....arbitrator will come down with a year. Once this is done they need to look at changes and make the punishment fit the crime, I am sick of athletes that cant co-exist in society and feel entitled
I say get them to agree on 17 games and 25 mil, or make it 34 games and take a bite out of that new deal. If the NFLPA has a problem with that, just publicly ask how many women a player would need to sexually assault for them to think that punishment was appropriate. Would 50 be enough? There's no winning PR move the NFLPA could make.
