This place is going to be hilarious if Watson gets indicted....

No picks, no players.... just a criminal trial

Indicted on Misdemeanors is not big deal on NFL circles. Felonies is different.

Remember, Watson is still going to have to serve some kind of suspension by the league(probably). If the legal stuff isn’t wrapped up fairly soon, then teams may not want to make the trade until a later time.

Wife beatings, domestic abuse, and all the other crap should be a big deal. Honestly, they should all be felonies. Nobody should have to live in fear of a violent offender. Nobody.

And cap relief. If he gets indicted not only will his contract be voided, but he will owe the Texans 10.8 mil in prorated bonuses. This is a win-win for the Texans

That’s what people are missing. Either he gets traded and we recoup a lot of players and picks or we gain a lot of cap room.

Yep, picks 3 and 6. Plus Chinn and Brown and a 2023 1st would make me very happy.

There have been pages and pages of posts in multiple threads on this forum dreaming about the massive package of picks and players the Texans are going to get when they trade Watson. If all they get is cap relief because of voiding his contract after an indictment and conviction...... this place will be in meltdown mode.

Nick would get more money to play with in free agency. If the fans panic with that knowledge in mind, they just like the feeling of panic

Getting cap room doesn't speed the rebuild up the same way multiple 1st and 2nd round picks do which are much cheaper players than star free agents...
