I want Jimmer just to watch Jazz fans freak out.

I think he will pan out ok, people had the same skepticism over Stephen Curry and I believe he's turned out quite alright..

There's some truth to that. I remember seeing on a Real Sports special white players were targeted in the draft simply because they were white.

I agree with you that Reddick had better range than Jimmer. Not sure why you say it didn't carry over: Reddick been a consistent 39% shooter from the outside every year. That's not elite (44%) like Ray Allen or Steph Curry, but it's still a very good percentage from deep.

Orlando had to waste a couple years with Reddick finding out the obvious - he has to come off the bench as a shooting specialist and has to come off screens or feed off sagging double teams.

When Eddie House was drafted by Miami, they also wasted a couple of years trying to turn him into a PG before giving up on him.

If I bring up Morrison, it's because I watched his "leap into traffic and jack up wild shots that fall" game in college and couldn't see him getting away with that in the NBA.

I see the same things with Jimmer. I simply can't see him creating space for his shot the way he could at BYU, and at 6'2, that's going to be a problem. He's going to be a major liability on defense. Unless he becomes a passing wizard that doesn't rely on penetration (Stockton, Price), something that wasn't evident in his college play, I can't see how he survives at PG as opposed to a specialist off the bench.

It's my opinion he'll be drafted by someone that's hoping he'll become something he is not.
