I'm bored at work and realized I forgot to get back to this thread a few weeks ago, so here goes...

moestavern19: In a word, "chaotic"...in a good way. Never shies away from contact, will drive right into your chest on his way through the lane, and will fight you tooth and nail when he decides he wants the rebound. Primarily scores off drives down the middle, and crafty post moves, including fadeaways and pump fakes. Capable shooter from the outside if left open, but not his greatest strength. Prone to get physically angry toward himself and nearby inanimate objects when struggling. Plays a mean game of horse.

NBA Comparison: more perimeter oriented Luis Scola

(I'm typing this on my phone, so I'm going to submit now and do more later before I lose it)

macalu: Quite a versatile player. Most dangerous when he gets good position in the post and can use his solid frame and low center of gravity to back his defender down. Will abuse smaller players. Very effective on box outs and putbacks. Has good enough handles to manuever on the perimeter and has a solid set shot from outside if given enough space. Talented passer, especially from the post. Tough defender, especially on the block. Not likely to shoot off the dribble. Lacks great leaping ability, but makes up for it with strength and positioning.

NBA Comparison: Charles Barkley (Rockets version)

lolz. inanimate objects do piss me off.

Thats about as accurate as I've seen.

Yes, I do play a mean game of HORSE, but The Cat plays a mean-ass game of knockout.

I'm 6'6, but I have no skills. Can't dunk anymore at all. I guess I could get some rebounds and block some shots just due to my height. I haven't played in years, the last time I played, I did hit the game-winning three-pointer though (about the first shot I made).

I'm a combo Guard and mostly depend on my mid-range and pick & rolls. Would've made JV this year if I hadn't gotten a neck spasm and a blister on my foot the size of a grapefruit.

Does anyone play BBall @ 24hour fitness on Voss?

My typical role is jack of all trades aka Quitten. I have a streaky outside shot and will drive to the hole when I catch my defender leaning the wrong way. I set picks if and crash the boards when needed. My defense is good but due to getting up in age (Im 35) I can't ball hawk people like I used to. I play more positional defense like Battier to conserve energy. One thing I do is goad my opponents into throwing bad passes by pretending not to guard my man.

When I play ball at 24 that's generally the one. I haven't been going lately, but when I do go it's late at night.

I frucking hate knockout, lol. I have a jumper and am quick to get my rebound, but I'm always knocked out because the guy behind me seems to always hit a runner of the wrong foot  or some other stupid shiet happens

I hit macalu's meat last time with a pass last time we played knockout.

then The Cat just started balling out of control, he won every game it was nuts.

before my acl injury, I was a point forward, i don't have great dribbling skills but enough to bring it up the court and run the break, I'm a good passer, unlike some former rockets players, i can get the ball into the post.... lol... was a above avg 3 point shooter, but my game was driving to the basket and dishing off...good weak side shot blocker, average rebounder, quick hands to get the steals, but i always had an issue with faster guys then me.

after acl injury, 2 years pretty much w/o playing ball

now i'm a power forward, mostly the same game but the shot from 3 pt range has disappeared and alot more posting up, plus i'm FATTER and can't move like I use too and lose a few inches on the vertical... so i'm more of a 2nd/3rd option then before where i was a 1st/2nd option...

damn acl injury and getting older!

I hate when people conserve their energy for offense.
[advice]Taking pride in your defense is absurdly underrated these days. Ball hawking and getting a hand up in their face(ala Battier) when they shoot will get them frustrated as shiet. It's like taking their motherfrucking soul.
Just one time when you guys play, concentrate all of your energy to the defensive end and see how it improves your win to loss ratio. Run over pickers, box your man out on every possession and don't allow any lay-ups. Foul the crap out of people on weak side help :D . You might be too tired to contribute offensively, but as you build your stamina enough, you will be a force on both sides of the court.[/advice]

yeah, he was knocked-out, pun intended. How does Cat dominate that game? I can't think of any strategy for that game, besides being in good enough shape to run full speed for the duration.
