'84 Ford EXP. Looked great and it was loaded (sunroof, sporty rims, beautiful red paint) but dang it broke down often. LMAO, it was an automatic...it had a locking shifter because it wouldn't stay in gear if designed straight. I was always having it repaired - starter, engine knock, brakes, electrical problems. Eventually traded it for another nightmare vehicle - a '91 Chevy Corsica. At least I can say that I got 100K outta the Corsica before it just died on IH-35 one day.
1994 Saturn SC. What a piece of junk, bought it used, had problems with transmission, engine, the key(it locked up and I had to 200 to get it fixed), muffler, at the end it vibrated so hard the front fender fell off and messed up the whole front right tired, what a sight to see. Had to have the junk yard come and pick it up(I paid 50). Bought my second Camry the next weekend. Never will I buy another GM car again.
Well, I've only owned 2 cars, and they've both been pretty bad. I'm currently driving an '87 LeBaron (that makes it older than me). It only has 38 thousand miles though, so it's not too bad. Just breaks all the time. My first car, though, I bought for 400 bucks, just so that I had a car to drive when I got my liscense. A 1994 Dodge Shadow. When I bought it, the paint was chipping, so we tried to do a homemade paint job, and it looked pretty ghetto. Anyways, it got to where the back cover (the part that bridges over the trunk) fell into the trunk, so you could see into the trunk from the back seats. Then, the gas gauge didn't work. I ran out of gas like 3 times because of it. The gas meter floated. Also, my windshield wipers didn't work. That sucked, as I got caught in many a rainstorm. The part that sucked the most was when I turned the lights on. When I turned my lights on, my speedometer went to zero, as did my gas gauge. Because of this, I couldn't stand to drive in the rain, at night!
You can see my old car here on Google Maps. It's the yellow speck all alone in the parking lot. It sat there for about a year and a half, and now there's a big rust spot where it was That's my 1976 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme. It was probably my crappiest car, but my favorite also. When I got it, it was AWESOME, but not three months after bringing it to Houston, the transmission died. I got it rebuilt, and then the AC died. I drove it for about a year and a half with no AC. It didn't have an 8-track or anything, but it did have a radio in it. It also had a clock -- it was one of those analog clocks like you see on old stoves. The clock never kept the right time, even though it looked sort of cool. The blinker on the left stopped blinking, and I got pulled over for it once -- from that point onward, if ever had the blinker on (and a cop was nearby), I'd have to turn it on and off so the cop wouldn't realize. It overheated once, and the engine started smoking. After giving it a few hours, it started working again. Eventually, after about a year, it just wouldn't start -- I got it "repaired" three times at two different places, and neither could get it to keep working for more than about a month. Eventually, I bought my new truck, and had the Oldsmobile towed to work, where it sat (in the Google picture) for over a year. Oh, and before I finally gave up on it, there was a leak in the fuel line, and it went from ~15 mpg to about 6 mpg. I also used to have a 1991 Mercury Cougar. It was black, and the A/C had stopped working on it. I had it for the hottest summer on record in San Antonio. It was just AWFUL!! It was probably 120 in there when standing still. The power steering went out twice that summer . . . it was completely undriveable when the power steering had died, and it was a real pain getting it fixed. That fall, there was a big hail storm, and it dented the crap out of the car. Thankfully, the insurance company totaled it, and that was the end of the Mercury Cougar.
Plus, no radio (speakers weren't wired right), no AC, or heat (I had to sell it before winter came), etc.
I WIN I had a 72 AMC Gremlin (puke green) with a 3 speed standard and a straight 6 that had been totalled from a hit on the back end before I ever got it. then while my 76 Gran Torino(my second car) was in the shop for some engine work...I had to drive a 67 Dodge Dart (also a weird green color) that was beat to hell. I wish I still had pics...yall would so pity me for my pathetic cars..adn I would without a doubt be the undisputed winna of this contest.
1986 Merkur XR4TI The A/C worked when it felt like. If you were driving on the highway for a long time and then used the turn signal or braked, the rear windshield wiper would activate. The Ash Wednesday flood of I-10 finally did something to the car when I went through high water in Cottage Grove and Timbergrove. The turbo never worked right after that storm. So I got rid of it, not completely willingly, for a 1991 Pontiac Sunbird, but that is a story for another day.
