In honor of Adam Sandler's new movie coming out this month entitled: That's My Boy, I've decided to do a retrospective and deep understanding and appreciation of his films .. I also have a list of top five best Adam Sandler movies up on letterboxd if you guys are interested... So if you can describe Adam Sandler movie career at this point, say it but in one word... So I'll start, Inspiring!!! http://letterboxd.com/iketurnerbitch/list/top-5-adam-sandler-is-on-to-something-list/detail/
GOOO! <iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/NGDuE_uiFtM#t=0m14s" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> No love for his serious stuff Spanglish. Punch Drunk Love, Reign on Me?
Not a word, but I think it sums up Mr. Sandler's perspective on it (or at least the garbage he's trying to pass off as movies lately): $_$
Dog***t. As long as his movies make money, he'll keep churning them out. Pure potty humor, stupid as hell. The new one looks worse than ever. He walks in on dinner and greets his son with, "Whazzuuuuup"? The worst. On the other hand, when it comes on cable 10 months from now, I'll watch the scenes with Eva Amurri. Yum, yum.
Click, Jack & Jill, Zohan and Grown Ups were all bad movies. But Sandler doesnt seem to get much hate for making them.
He does a pretty good job acting in Punch Drunk Love and Funny People. I don't approve of all the hate the man gets.
Haven't seen the first, but have seen Funny People. When I watched him, which I don't anymore, it's hard to really get into the movie because all I see is a guy "acting" instead of a character on the screen... if that makes sense. I did like Waterboy, though, but I was also in middle school.
He's better in the ones he doesn't play the stupid comedic idiot role in. But, that's not really saying that much. I don't take him seriously as an actor. And, to think he is grooming Samberg to follow in his footsteps. Ugh. I guess Samberg will get a lead role in one of these doing his schtick.
I like that word, good choice. Is there a single word that describes hopelessness or pessimism for the future of the world?
