no blame steve nash. he's the player who changed the MVP's definition. my MVP has always been what it is historically: the best player on a top 3-4 team in the L, and a top 5 player in the L. MVP should award the best player on one of the best teams, but also award players who elevate their play above the rest of the field. that's an MVP. you go down the history of MVP winners, most of them fit that definition.
The MVP is a popularity contest and is stats-driven for the most part. Unless Rose starts averaging 30 PPG, 15 APG, and 10 RPG. He's not going to win.
what does that "based" phrase that everyone keeps using mean? I looked it up on google and it came from a rap song but what context is everyone using it in as a joke? i can usually pick up on jokes but i don't get this one
can you give me a synonym for based as it is used in this context. Like thank you "...." God. I still don't get it, why dont they just say thank you god? What does the "based" add to it?
I think this game only shows how dangerous the Spurs are. Bulls, one of the rising elite teams, has to have their best player (and current MVP leading candidate) drop a career night in order to beat the Spurs, and I haven't even factored home court yet. That being said, Derrick Rose's style of play is perfect for playoffs. The foul drawing helps a lot in regular season, but they won't be calling a lot of those in the playoffs.
Damn didnt think Rose would take it to this level so fast. Hes been playing some great basketball and he took it to SA thats saying something right there. I wonder what the Bulls record would be if they were healthy all year. Rose is putting this team on his back if thats not an MVP I dont know what is.
Heres the thing if the Bulls get a top 2 seed which is possible how can you not say Rose is a top 5 player this year. His team hasnt been healthy and he still has them at a chance for a top seed.
