If Rose stays healthy, he has the potential to be a Hall of Famer. He is a really amazing talent. And the Bulls have a bright future. If the nickname "Iceman" wasn't already taken, Rose should get it.

Air Langhi says he would have started it at the beginning of the season. LOL. There are always these threads, where our fans think the other team loves getting damaged goods.

When I see CP3 , D.Rose, and D.will play it makes me think how overrated Steve Nash was.

Agreed on the Tony Parker comparison. More explosive/athletic and with better playmaking skills and natural instincts.

Yes, but Rondo just destroyed him....

If Paul Pierce makes a ft, Rajon gets the praise...

Perhaps you forget Rose is a 20 year-old rookie in his very first playoff game. The way Rondo played yesterday, he would have "destroyed" any other PG in the NBA. There is no "but" about Rose's performance. What he did was unprecedented.

    Still. 29-9-7 from Rondo....Against a depleted Celtics.
I am just saying that it was not a HUGE plus/minus impact when comparing his numbers to who he was guarding. It is like if Kobe dropped 81 but Jalen Rose dropped 75 with Kobe on D. Takes a bit of the luster off in my mind. I do understand that DRose has HOF potential though, Don't get me wrong.

I find Yao/Wilt's first half more impressive:)
    (Even if he isn't 20)

I knew D-Rose would be good but not this early. The maturity he showed in game 1 was just phenomenal. He played like a veteran. No pressure at all.

I get your point but still completely disagree. Kobe is a veteran, former MVP and 3-time NBA champion. Rose is a rook who carried his team to an unexpected win in his very first playoff game. No luster comes off. Plus, again, when Rondo plays like a man possessed AND hits his mid-range jumper, no player in the NBA can do anything about it. The thing is, Rondo rarely plays like that for an entire game. He deserves props for rising up to fill the huge void left by KG and Ray Allen (and PP in the 1st half).

Yup, I still can't figure out why Rondo can't develop a consistent jumper. He has had 3 YEARS...It is all he needs to turn into a full fledged star. Anyway, Rose is about as impressive as they come. Tyrus really impressed me too, maybe he is starting to figure it out a little bit?

It is said Rondo's arms are too long and his hands are too big for him to be a good jump-shooter. The things that make him such a great ball-handler, defender and finisher supposedly hinder his shooting.

    I suppose.

yeah, the dude looked so cool and so level-headed. very rare even amongst seasoned players, much less a rookie pg. and being level-headed is one of the best traits of a great pg. see stockton.

we need to pry rose and oden away from their teams (and still keep yao). :D

He played marvelous but I wouldn't be surprised if he had a 12 pts game next young players are generally streaky but his performance was awesome to watch

I'm surprised he doesn't get to the freethrow line as much as a guy like Westbrook, maybe he's comfortable shooting mid-range jumpshots.

I don't get why people can't stand to hear the "a better version of Tony Parker" line regarding Rose. I see nothing wrong with that. Michael Jordan was a better version of David Thompson, that's the truth, and it takes absolutely nothing away from Michael Jordan.
