What I wonder about is, will Derricks' bro dare to be a b**** in NY as well? The Knicks with Rose have such a great potential for comedy. The only thing is that I feel for Porzingis. Now how will he get the ball? Especially if Dwight is signed too.

The center market this summer is one of the deepest ever. Al Jefferson, Gasol, Horford, Howard, Whiteside, Noah, Biyombo, Ezeli, Mahmini. Plus Okafor is on the trade block. Not sure which teams are tripping over themselves to sign Howard to max money when he's been in decline and already in his 30s. Just not happening.
I see Rose injury most of the season and only playing a handful of games for them...they should have gone for Ronda.
I think that's a really good trade for the Knicks. They don't really lose anything of value that is hard to replace and get a pick along with the most talented player in this trade in Rose. Rose is on his last year. Adding him, will at least make it seem to Melo that the Knicks are trying to be competitive. Rose has shown flashes last season. Obviously there will always be an injury risk with him, but there is no downside for the Knicks really. Rose, Melo & Prozingis should be good enough to earn a playoff spot in the East ...when healthy. If it doesn't work out - Rose expires and there will be plenty of FA next offseason. Definitely worth taking a gamble on Rose

It is (also Mozgov) but that doesn't mean any of them will be cheaper than Rolo except perhaps Al Jef but not by much. And if Al Jef is your starting C then ....lol. Because Okafor is on the trade block doesnt' mean the Knicks can get him. They have no assets. Not to mention that they also are without a starting sg.
With this trade (Calderon, J Grant), they could look at other positions... [Chicago Tribune] - NBA draft isn't deep at point guard, one of Bulls' biggest needs [Chicago Tribune] - Winging it: Here are four wings Bulls have done due draft diligence on
So they could go Rose Afflalo Melo Zinger Dwight (who would finally get to be coached by Phil Jackson like he wanted in L.A). I hope Dwight signs there, if everyone stays healthy they'd be the fourth best in the east; Cleveland, Toronto, Miami, New York, Boston, Charlotte, Atlanta. Detroit. Chicago is a ****ing mess
Noah and Gasol were likely leaving regardless if Rose stayed or not. This just gives the Bulls a fresh start with Butler being the starting piece
I don't think this is that bad of a move by NY. I agree with the consensus that Rose is probably done as an elite player, but New York can make the playoffs in the East with Rose playing as a 2nd/3rd best type of player, Melo playing on a 2nd best player level, and Porzingis playing as a 2/3rd best player level. What does New York have to lose? FAs aren't beating down the door to come play for them so why not take a chance that Rose can stay somewhat healthy and Porzingis can continue to grow while Melo and Rose are playing out of their primes. If your the laughing stock of the NBA, this is how you turn things around slowly because the big FA acquisitions aren't signing with you in your current state. You have to take some chances like hoping Rose revitalizes his game, have some youth projects pan out(Porzingis fits that mold), and change the perception of the team by winning a little more consistently. Make the team look respectable again for a while and THEN maybe they will start to be the magnet market they once were. Robin Lopez wasn't ever going to be a difference maker - Rose however can be.
