This really sucks. The basketball gods have no mercy. Just a very sad say for the sport if true.

Just goes to show you guys.... dont take any game we get out of Harden and Howard for granted. I know they aren't perfect star players, but they are healthy currently and in their primes. Crap can go south real quick with these guys.

Derrick Rose #TheReturn All indications show Derrick Rose has indeed torn his other ACL. Hope MRI results prove otherwise. #PrayersForDrose

Do you take Boozer or Deng?

Doesn't look too serious. Probably a knee sprain like Greg Smith got in the game vs NY.

If Rose is out for the season, it would make sense for them to at least trade Deng, who so likely a goner this summer anyway. Other than that, who knows what the Bulls will be thinking with guys like Boozer, Gibson, Noah, Dunleavy, etc. They have multi year deals so you can always wait until the summer or later to decide, based on Rose's progress. Then again, they might just completely rebuild and sell everyone off and tank for a high pick in a good draft.

Also, the Bulls are about $7.5M above the tax line. If Rose is out for the season, they should consider getting under the line.

It is a tough situation to be in, like Houston was with Yao Ming in 2009.

Who are all these people you are quoting? Actual decent sources or just random people on twitter or bots who spread rumors?

Marc Gasol also tore his MCL tonight. It's eerily similar to how Drose and Shump both tore their ACLs a year and a half ago.

He said he heard a pop in his hamstring. Not sure the seriousness of it but hamstrings tend to linger. Not a fun NBA night...

HOPEFULLY that will be the case. Or even an MCL tear. Anything else.
    Hopefully.

in the past year, the number of serious injuries to star players in the NFL and NBA has been ridiculous - you would think the advancements in sportiing equipment and medical treatment would have helped

What a shame, Drose is one of the most exciting players in the NBA. I'd hate to see his career go the route of Brandon Roy's, whose game I also really liked before the knee issues.
