Derrick Rose injured again (UPDATE: Torn meniscus, will need surgery)

Hope this will be his last injury. He is entering his prime.

Well the good news is there will be less competition for Beverley and Lin.

 

Rose needs to learn Kobe's game, rely on post ups and face up moves to get to the rim. His explosive speed will not be there for many years, he must learn to play a slower, controlled mind game.

 

That is not a bad idea, but I'd say he needs to buy a boxset of Andre Miller highlights.

 

he's strong enough to do some of those things.

 

I'm rooting for Derick Rose. This guy is a TRUE LEADER and doesn't seem to be in it for HIMSELF or will he QUIT on his team.

I blame it on Adidas, D Rose, go to Nike. Adidas has had some questionable people on their roster.

 

Can anyone explain me what does "out for season" mean?

Let's say he is getting healthly really fast and his rehabilitation goes well and the Bulls are still in the playoffs. Does it mean he can't come back even when he is 100% for the playofs or let's say last week of the season?

 

This year he showed a lot of Kobe's game.. inefficient chucking and then lots of undeserved accolades for one game winner.

To the guy who left the anonymous rep comment - I had knee problems which were caused by back issues. I learned a lot about body mechanics and what was causing it. Doctors actually don't know squat about body mechanics. Fortunately I worked with people who did and was able to fix the issues.

Only in his prime before injury. This season, he was hardly worth a season ticket. He wasn't the same D Rose after his injury. Now with another injury to his other knee, I doubt he will be an impact player. I say this because he was never a finesse player who used "subtle" skills to score. I say he has to get used to being an average NBA player who can contribute. Maybe he should come off the bench as a 6th man.

I would consider that bad news. You need competition to be the best player you can be. Playing against a star like Rose on national TV would make Lin work and compete harder than he ever would otherwise.
