Rockets had a deal in line for Williams, but jazz didn't want to send him to a WC team

you know, it seems like utah only acknowledged williams was being shopped to teams they could trust to keep quiet about it.

Jazz didn't want to trade him to Houston.

The east is the only place the Rockets can trade for an all-star. With the power shifting to the east some stars will become available. The question isn't when, it's which team do we have to beat? The moment teams start shopping Iguadola, or Granger I know Mark Cuban, and Kevin Pritchard will be all over it. As long as our assets are better than theirs then we will win.

To be honest, a one year rental on Williams is a bad move for the Rockets and the Nets. Short term financial benefits are fun for the owner and the fans, but hurt in the long run.

Williams still has to wait for an co-allstar to be relevant

Those in denial view it as littering, but those who want to be in the know view it as a blessing. Maybe even a small raindrop from heaven, with a touch of cinnamon for flavor. Don't fear knowledge my young friend; it will only liberate you from the shackles of your own preconceived notions.

I'm like wikileaks for basketball baby. I'm like Mother Theresa in the 1950's and Morey is a handicapped child. Handicapped, by the spreadsheet and an incessant need to be a part of everything. He needs to get on a dance floor, stop micromanaging and realize the virtue of patience and taking 2 steps backward, to take 3 steps forward. Only then will he be able to see eye to eye with the champs. The big boys.

    Let loose Daryl.

Okay. I've had time to collect my thoughts on this:

    1. According to Broussard, the Jazz dealt Williams in order to preempt a Melo like situation. Of course, the Melo situation was the Nuggets preempting a Lebron/Bosh like situation. I'm pretty sure the next logical step is for teams to just hand their lottery picks over to teams in New York, Los Angeles or Miami on draft day in order to PREEMPT the hell out of these situations.

    2. The Jazz realize it's time to rebuild and their team was vastly superior to ours. Perhaps this will wake some of you vehement anti-tankers up. If we had a player picked number 3 in last years draft, even if he sucks, and a couple future first round picks, maybe we'd have been trading for Williams.

no, the quote meant that Dallas only wanted Harris so that they could trade him to Utah for Deron
