I just feel like we have another big 3 in the making. Dwill, Johnson, Howard.

I cannot think of a way the Nets could even think about signing Howard. They used their MLE on that PF from Real Madrid didn't they? If so then they are bound by the MLE and cannot have a salary above $74 million next season. It is a new CBA and this part of it has not come up before so I could be wrong. We are seeing so many surprising new twists.

NON-TAXPAYER MID-LEVEL EXCEPTION -- This exception is available only when a team is below the "apron" (i.e., not paying luxury tax, or less than $4 million above the tax line). This determination is made after the exception is used, so a team below the apron cannot use this exception if doing so takes it above the apron. It cannot be used by a team that has already used the Taxpayer Mid-Level Exception or the Room Mid-Level exception.

Even with Teague, that line-up looks horrible.

How can you offer 2 guys that are not under contract? Those first round picks don't mean crap. What team, that wants to rebuild, will wait 3-4 years and pray for a good draft pick? They want players now.

Oh, sorry I forgot to mention it. They are currently pushing $74 million in salary without the cap hold for Lopez.

It's not going to happen. Even if Dwight were to just wait a season he would only be able to sign for the MLE.

Out of all the Big 3s, that one would be 3rd.

    Miami's is the best obviously.

    Thunder's are second best.

Then this Nets one should it somehow happen.

Marshon Brooks is a decent prospect, but nobody to build a team around. Brook Lopez is hardly someone to anchor a franchise, and every one of those picks is going to be in the low to high 20s. The Magic have made it known that the Nets offer is absolute garbage.

Not sure if you're referring to free agency next season, or trading for him now, REEKO, but if it's free agency, Dwight won't go there. He hasn't returned to ATL since he left, and he has no intentions to. As far as a trade goes, they would certainly be willing to part with Josh Smith, but how does that help the Magic?? I'm guessing they would want to take the Thunder approach which is rebuilding with a large amount of youth and draft picks, which is where ATL's offer loses steam.

    Really?

Deron is 17.17 million as reported.
    JJ is 19.8 million
Gerald Wallace is probably around 9 million
    That Euro is 5 million

That comes down to around 51 million.

ATL can trade them Smith or Horford. Will they? I don't know but they can trump any Rockets offer. LA won't trade Bynum and I don't think Dwight wants to get laid into by Kobe, he's a wuss.

Their roster information is outdated on every site I believe. From http://hoopshype.com/salaries/brooklyn.htm they have about another 18 million committed right now. And that is not including the cap holds for another 8 roster spots. Or the cap hold for their latest trade - $1.8 million? Cannot keep up.

WOW @ ESPN with the Four Horseman mentioned in the big 3s...

Ric Flair, Arn Anderson, and Tully Blanchard.

Who are Toronto and Cleveland building their team around from the Miami trade?

He's thinking he likes money. Nets will be competitive at least next year, they are a better team than the Mav's right now.

Yeah, I think Dwill definitely made the right decision. Brooklyn is going to be a big time market. Everyone is going to be wearing Brooklyn gear.
