He scored 50 points with 17/23 FGs in the Eurochallenge against BG Göttingen. Deron started the season apparently out of shape but he's now averaging 20,5 points, 3 rebounds and 6,83 assists (54% 2Pt; 46% 3Pt) in the turkish league.
Actually is a bad team on a league with a low-very low level. The turkish league probably has a better level.
They're the worst team in Germany, which is like the 10th best league or so in Europe. If that. So yeah, they're pretty bad.

Well they are the worst team in the German League, which is around the 9th to 10th best league in Europe. And they should be relegated to the German second division. The EuroChallenge itself is about the 12th best league in Europe. Quite frankly, the Turkish League is a much better league than the EuroChallenge. Good game for Williams, but against a really low level of competition by European standards.
He couldn't have been that much out of shape. Maybe stamina-wise. He looks even thinner than he was this past season.
I think Deron Wiliams may have just started a trend of players going overseas to play during the offseason.
i dont think he was out of shape, it just took him a while to figure out the style of play and what he could or couldnt do.
BTW - all the Euros get to play against some scrub teams too, and players like VSpan aren't scoring 50 points......even against crappy competition. DWill is a stud over there, as predicted. DD
There must be a lot of euros scoring 50 pts against that team since the competition is so similar compared to the NBA.
