Dream scenario - Kobe's arrogant ass gets traded to NJ for Deron :) I'd love to see the rest of Kobe's career wasted in NJ! Then Lakers trade Bynum and Gasol for Howard and Turkeyglue.

He has a no trade clause in his contract.

    he could waive that clause...

    to go to Brooklyn.

that wouldn't be that bad of an idea.

I don't see Dwight and Williams being much of a threat together on many teams except for the Rockets. Daryl has the ability to find good role players.

That's the thing. Only role players. Not stars... so getting Dwight and DWill here is a no-go.

That's why Morey needs to sell this to the star players. It's not enough to get superfriends together. You have to team up with a GM like Morey to get you the supporting cast to win it all.

I'm sure having an overpaid center in his 30s replacing Howard would've really sweetened the deal.

How awesome would it be for the Heat could pry Moary from us...

But then again, they already have Riley.

    This.

The rumor was we were going to sign Nene and flip him for Marc Gasol and have a Gasol/Gasol front line. I don't think that would have worked. Don't think Memphis would have given in and signed and traded him.

Orlando was asking for Bynum and Pau earlier. Pau, Nene, and draft picks is about as good as they could expect. Would not surprise me at all if we had signed Nene and traded for Pau that we would have been offering both guys up at the deadline for Dwight. Sneeeeeeeeky Morey.

This makes no sense. Why would mem give you pau gasol for nene? An old overpaid player for a young slightly overpaid player? If I was going to lose dwight I would rather get cap space over 22mil/year pau and overpaid nene.

They may not have. But if we had acquired Pau, Marc could have signed his qualifying offer and forced Memphis to trade him at the deadline. Restricted free agents do have leverage if they want to use it.

Rocket fans and their wishful thinking . . .

Why would he leave Memphis for an inferior team? Most of all, why would he force a trade from a team where he is arguably the most well-liked players on team (by fans)?

Goran, Lee, Parsons, Gasol, and Gasol would not be an inferior team. He would have wanted to play with his brother for championships. Wake up now.

1st or 2nd Round fodder...do you really think that team would win a championship?

    C'mon now...
