"Fans who still boo even though Fisher gave up $8 million when he was released from his three-year deal. Fans who still boo even though Tatum Fisher, now nearly 4, has regained 50% of vision in her eye and her cancer is in remission." http://hoopshype.com/archive/rumors/2010/rumors-20100509.htm#ixzz0tITPA0CT Free Agency is Free Agency.
because of a similar CBA dispute, the 98-99 Season was shortened to 50 games, starting in Feb. '99. there was no All Star game, pre-season was shortened to two games per team, and some teams did not face each other at all during the regular season.
Yep, lock this up. @Mike_Bresnahan Derek Fisher is back: "I have decided to continue with Kobe, continue with our teammates and the fans of Los Angeles."
I don't understand what his daughter's cancer has to do with anything. He could've gotten treatment for his daughter in Utah. Assuming the theory is that he would've gotten her better treamenet in LA, he didn't need to play in LA to make that happen. He could've sent his family to LA and still played in Utah. It's not like he doesn't go on road trips with the Lakers so he can be at home to take care of his daughter. If going to a location for cancer treatment was his primary goal, how come we never heard about him coming to Houston (not that I'd want him). Houston has the best cancer treatment hospitals in the country and possibly the world. It's not like he had to play. Again if taking care of his daughter was his primary goal, he could've quit basketball to take care of her full time. Was he wanting for money? No Finally, all of this is thrown out the window when he flirted with playing in Miami. Wasn't it still important for his daughter to get treatment in LA? Her cancer is in remission, fine, that doesn't mean it's 100% cured. You'd think she'll still gets treatment for her 50% eyesight. The bottom line is, Fisher used his daughter as an excuse to get out of Utah. So yes, he should still be booed.
he would have been a perfect fit for the heat. the lakers clearly are showing little respect for him, but im guessing he still stays in LA
not much playing time if he signs with the heat (8-12 minutes per game maybe?). lakers - at least 20-25 minutes. hence he decides to stay.
ummm...good guess? http://sports.espn.go.com/los-angeles/nba/news/story?id=5374270 Fisher returns to Lakers
