Derek Fisher, you disappointed me. Seriously? Your going to be immature to show up because of the team? Your still getting paid. You already have 5 championships and you don't wanna show up? ._.

They're negotiating a buy-out bro, I don't think Fish would just not come. I actually wouldn't mind him running back-up point while we wait on Kyle to come back. He doesn't turn the ball over, and he can still hit the 3.

I would play him at center in every game and funnel driving wings to him to dunk on him, Corey Brewer style. Hell, I think I'd resign the guy just to see a whole year of that hilarity.

League should penalize such actions. Very unprofessional.

I could care less if he was president of a country, if it is that he isn't honoring the trade, should be a solid ground for a penalty. This is just a case of manning up i believe.

Lakers and Rockets mutually extended the timeline from 48 to 72 hours that Fisher has to report to rockets

He has to report...he has no choice. It was easy for Camby cause he lives in Houston so no biggie there

I suspect if Fisher does not show up, he will not get paid.

The best thing would be if he just didn't show up and we would have a right to immediately terminate his contract without further payment. Better than a buyout.

I can't imagine him being that stupid. He'd be throwing 4 million+ away. I suspect they are in serious negotiations on a buyout and Morey is willing to give all of his money this year if he opts out for next year. That's the key. Morey doesn't want his 3.5 mil on the books next year.

They should just toss him an extra 1 million shoe deal from China if he agrees to opt out.

I assume you must be kidding, otherwise, this kind of thinking is very naive.

There's got to be some type of peanalty for Fish and/or the Lakers if he doesn't show. Give us back Hill! Won't see any playing time, but still.
