He hates Houston. And Houston hates him.

I never wanted him near this team.

Can we all collectively wish for a career ending injury upon this scum already?

One of our prayers are bound to get accepted.

The scumbug wants to get out so he can join the Heat.

The guy's over-sized lips oozes slime.

I say punch him in the face every day (Terrence Williams could have finally been useful) and then let him go right after the deadline for the post-season roster.

And then do a 60 minute ESPN sarcastic piece titled "The Professional".

Fisher's also holding up Jordan Hill from playing with the Lakers. So much for him being a "players" rep.

With the Spurs signing Patty Mills today, I wonder how much pressure Fisher will feel in the next few days as the title contenders fill out their rotations with other players waived after the trade deadline.

The Spurs were one of the few really good fits for Fisher, and they're off the board. He better hurry up and waive that player option if he wants to contend for a championship this season. ;)

Does it really matter this much to him? He already has rings.

Seriously? I don't even want to see him. Look at Lamar.
    Doubt he'll play.

I think about everyone in this thread is overreacting.

We heard about a potential buyout since the moment this trade went down. I have no doubt Fisher's in contact with Morey about; if the Rockets intend to buy him out it seems logical that Morey wouldn't need him to report to McHale; and McHale just gave a generic "he is not playing for us" answer, not accused the guy of deserting.

The guy had every chance to come to the Rockets and make it right. Dont buy him out and force him to sit at home and not be able to sign with anyonelse either

I say we just sit on his contract. We need a point guard. I hate the guy, but come on. Use 'um if you got 'um. We have to get over the fact he is an arrogant ass and bring him into this roster, at least for now...

If its a choice between playing for a championship this year and 3.4 million dollars, I think he'll go with the latter. He already has 5 rings. Piggy-backing onto a team to get another one probably isn't that high a priority for him.

Ordinarily, I'd agree. But this is the same guy who, after winning three rings and getting his big (full MLE) payday, left a ton of money on the table in Utah to void his contract and re-signed with the Lakers for a lot less money. One could say that he piggy-backed his last two championships this way, even though he was the starting PG. (And, yes, I realize his family situation at that time.)

This cat is a bit different. I think he values his happiness over money. Still, yeah, I don't think he waives the option. Here's hoping he takes a Rockets-favorable buyout figure to mitigate the cap hit for next season.

Are we completely certain that its Fisher thats pushing for the buyout and not Houston pushing Fisher for the buyout? From what I can read, the moment he was traded for, there immediately came a tweet from Feigen saying that a buyout was very likely.

Obviously he had pre-concieved notions that the Rockets were not trading for Derek Fisher the player, but Derek Fisher the buyout + 1st rounder.

Im one of those people that even though it would be wierd to see Fisher in a Rockets uniform, I actually think he would be a good presence on the bench for the rest of the season, given he was buying into what the Rockets were trying to accomplish.

Dont get me wrong.... I hate the guy with all my heart(he is a Laker for Christ sake), but he could serve a purpose. With that being said, if they arrange a buyout that gets him to waive his player option for next year, good riddance.... peace....
