I am generally not a fan of RIET's posts because they always seem to be negative. He very seldom if ever seems to offer actual suggestions or ideas, seemingly preferring instead to just shoot down the ideas, suggestions and possibilities mentioned by others, but I have to say that I thoroughly agree with him on this point.
Lookin at antiono daniels stats he dont look like a bad player. Havent seen him really play, but maybe the rockets can still trade for him. An article said we were still going after him.
If you're going to criticize me, the least you can do is write your own instead of plagiarizing someone else's. Hows that for an idea? http://bbs2.clutchfans.net/showthread.php?s=&threadid=80424 Like sheep over a cliff.
I thought the original person who criticized me was actually kind of humorous, like he read all of my 3,000 posts. He took a jab at me because I happened to make fun of his suggestions. No biggie. I find it funny that someone else read that and decided to incorporate it as if it was his original thought. Never thought I had a fan club but I must've left some impression. Of course everything they say is true.
So are we getting Fisher...within 48 hours...I want Tony Battie too. The thing I like about TOny Battie is he hustles. He plays really well against the Rockets..not really lol..but remember that one game he like scored 20 on us...just draining jumpers along baseline..cuz Yao was helping other people on defense. Battie is mobile too. I hope we get him.
If the Rockets don't sign him to some kind of "bloated" unrealistic contract, I am OK with Fisher. He is not great, but he is smart, crafty, plays D, and has this knack of making clutch shots. He is really a pest, always in the action. Through the years he has annoyed me as an opponent. He always seems to make something happen. I don't think he is a consistently good shooter, but he always seems to make "the" shot. I don't think he is a great passer, but seems to make smart well-timed passes.
It is refreshing to know that we can find humor in disagreeing. Sometimes its seems people on here are so defensive the threads usually end up being personal attacks. Nice to know you didnt take it that way.
3,000?? no, don't flatter yourself only the last 200 or so......................................250 maybe.
truth is he's not that bad of an option, considering the options. 2-3 mill for 2-3 years would be ideal. that's probably unlikely though with GM's giving away huge contracts. i've always liked Roger Mason. I used to watch him play when he was with Virginia. he was a 2 that played the 1 in his senior year and really excelled at it, which is rare. no outside shot, but money from the stripe. we really just need someone who is capable of locking up the opposing PG. Mason would give us that.
Fisher is a great guard for the rox, because he doesn't turn the ball over he plays good defense, no bone head mistakes. Plus he is perfect for when Yao is double teamed to kick it to him for the open three. We don't another star, we need a smart role player which is exactly what fisher has proven to be for years with the lakers. If you can't see that your blind, he is exactly what Van Gundy said we needed.
I was thinking of Jeff McInnis, not Ollie, who would be a step down from Lue, probably. I just can't see why the Cavs would move him, unless they're desperate for our TE, etc.
I agree that this is unlikely. If he had wanted 2-3 million, he would hardly have opted out of his Lakers contract, which would have paid him about 3 million this year, if I am not mistaken.
After the Francis saga, I'd be glad if Fisher just proves to be solid, and smart with the decision-making...
