wrong link. I mixed up msnbc with the cnn one. Here is the cnn one. <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/ghB6MdVIT0I&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/ghB6MdVIT0I&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>
Horatio: What've we got? Alexx: Young female, robbed at knife point at the ATM. Says the attacker became enraged when he saw the McCain bumper sticker on her car and proceded to beat her and carve a "B" into her face. Horatio: Did you say "carve" or lightly scratch? I think that somebody forgot to put an "S" after that "B"..... YEAAAAHHHHHHH
I can understand why you would feel upset about something like this and I totally agree with you that fear of a a black male can be so easily used, and believed by so many. That said though for someone to do something like this though there has to be something seriously wrong with them. I feel bad for woman and its a sad commentary on our culture that a story about a random assault by a black man is so easily believed but for her as a personally I think she needs some help and wish the best for her.
We should all feel sorry for this wingnut, but it's another example of the right, Joe the Plumber being one, stooping low to win this election. PS She should be punished to the fullest extent of the law.
"Some networks ran with this story, I won't say their names but the initials of the network are Fox News!" LOL!
Schizophrenia usually doesn't manifest until early twenties, I think. On the other hand, College Republicans have a long & distinguished history of ratf-cking, sometimes only for sport. (E.g. Segretti, Rove, Abramoff, bilking seniors out of their Bush '04 contributions). If this wasn't so inept it could easily have been an effective tactic against Obama, especially if one at all buys into Murtha's characterization of middle PA. The stupidity of this and the superficiality of the wound/woman would appear to make it the work of just one sad person. If it's mental illness, get her help. If she's in her right mind, if it's a premeditated though desperate act of political chicanery, f--- her. In prison. For a long, long time. Starter of this thread gets negative points for the self ownage. Can't help but notice he hasn't posted in this thread ever since.
Goes without saying, but wouldn't a co-conspirator at least have broken the skin? Or faced the "B" the correct way? What the McCain campaign and Drudge/FNC can be charged with was taking advantage of the situation, trying to make it a larger political reflection on Obama himself, for political gain. McCain Communications Director Gave Reporters Incendiary Version Of "Carved B" Story Before Facts Were Known FNC talking points I'll chalk it up to a lone gunman, bat---- either from mental illness or political zeal. However, if it's conspiracy, apparenlty it is one after the fact.
when I say co-conspirator I mean other individuals who has come up with this idea and convinced to do this..
That was a CLASSIC line. I'm kinda surprised CNN let him say that. It seems that people are becoming much more vocal about the crap Faux New has been spewing for years: first Obama clowns them during the debate, now CNN drops all semblance of professional courtesy and basically give Faux News a wedgie on the air. Give me hope that things really will change.
What I still don't get about the blog post from John Moody is that why would people revisit their support of Obama if the attack had been true and if they did, how could it not be about racism (one black man did this=we can't trust Obama)? BTW, are we sure she's an Aggie?
I got a hard time buying this as a conspiracy on the part of the McCain campaign and if they are guilty of anything it is running with this without getting the facts straight. Still given how political campaigns in general will play loose with the facts I don't fully blame them or their supporters from doing so. If the situation had been reversed and a mentally ill Obama supporter had faked an attack with a backward "J" I bet many Obama supporters would've have jumped on this story too initially.
I agree other than running with this story before it completely checks out I don't see how any campaign could or should be held responsible for the actions of one or a very small group of supporters acting on their own.
It can manifest itself in the late teens... 17, 18 years old. Sometimes, it can occur for the first time far later, even into the 40's. A terrible thing. Of course, who knows if this sick goofus is suffering from the disorder?
