I'm so happy this turned out well. Wow, that dog had quite the adventure. Fortunately it must have been good about staying out of the road. Anyway, great news! (and let us all give thanks for prayers answered)
Congrats man! Geez, my dog that recently died at age 15, ran away hundreds of times. And people always called us to return her. Damn I loved that dog/. Once she ran away and was gone all night and was found the next day around 5pm in the MIDDLE of the DESERT! A neighbor was taking a walk out in the desert with her labrador, and it took off from her and returned like 30 secs from behind a small hill with our dog following. Our dog was damn tired and thirsty. Thankgod for her, by the way this was in Saudi.
you are gonna get lucky tonight. way to go. Just don't let that dog out of your sight until the handoff is made. Do not let david Carr handle the dog either.
It's amazing how I went from the lowest low to the highest highs in the last 2 days. Never undersestimate the power of prayer and never lose faith...I was so devastated last night and assumed I would never see her again and now she's here with me. I had to tell my GF that she was missing because she could tell something was wrong in my voice when I talked to her...I had to tell her. I felt so bad! But it's all good now cause she's back. I am just amazed that she went over 4 miles away and was safe. Thank God that good hearted woman took the time to pick her up and then call the vets in the area. I offered her money and such but she refused but I offered dinner to her and her husband, it's not much but the least I can do...I owe much more though.
It was actually my mom's mother's bird, originally a present from one of my uncles back longer than I can remember. I'm 21, and if memory serves it was given to her a couple of years after I was born. I think my grandmother always hated him for giving it to her. Anyway, the bird came into our possession when my grandmother passed away in '93. My brother and I were the youngest of the grandchildren, and my mom was pretty much the only one willing to put up with the bird. The cockatail basically hates everyone in my family exept for my mom. Now that I don't live at home I find the bird amusing, but it is, as someone else mentioned, very dirty. Congrats by the way on finding the dog Rivaldo. There are some very nice people in the Missouri City/Sugar Land area.
Great news!! So ecstatic . Feels good when someone's prayers are answered. Now if you could get started on my lotto prayers that would be great
I'm very happy for you rivaldo. if My dog ever ran away i think i would be a mess(it is a 11 month old White sheppard, she is the best dog in the world).
Great News. I've been checking back here to see if the dog turned up. I have a couple of dogs and they get out sometimes. It's incredibly stressful.
Great News! I'm so glad a happy ending came of this. The next thing you need to do is go to Petsmart and get a tag made. It's only a few dollars, and can save you a lot of stress (as I'm sure you've figured out). Pugs
Good thing Puck didn't find the dog first. He'd look it straight in the eyes and proclaim "You are mine!"
Thanks for all the replies again! Everyone here is awesome! I am going to go tonight and get the tags made (I hear you can make them at Walmart yourself on a machine). I made sure she doesn't escape, I put her in the bathroom (there's no digging out of there ). She slept like a baby last night that's for sure and I wanna see her reaction when she sees my GF cause she didn't respond to me like I thought she would but my GF is the main one who takes care of her so it should be different. Now if I can pray for the Rockets to win titles the next ten years we'll all be in good shape! Nah, I don't usually pray for material things because it's not right to. Besides it won't get granted b/c if everyone prayed to win the lotto and God granted everyone's wish, then society wouldn't function.
