Sorry, what I meant to say was that the Rockets/Memphis/Kings will battle for the bottom two seeds, but I think the Kings will hold on to the 6th seed, while the Rockets will probably end up playing the Spurs i nthe 7th seed, although Memphis is coming on strong now, Gasol is back in playing shape and he has fresh legs from all that break he took. Plus, Memphis is a very deep team, so that serves them well the rest of the season.

Houston will likely end up 7th, but could very well slip into 8th.

The race is too damn close.

Not trying to be a homer, but I don't think you will. Both Grizz and Rox have tough schedules, and Grizz are still two games behind. The Memphis/Houston game is a must-win for you guys if you want to pass us. Otherwise we will go up a game and own the tie-breaker.

my 3400 post! - thats the luck of hakeem x100, so this will come true!!

-we will play the sonics in the first round and BEAT THEM! - they are too battered and we can beat them when they are healthy anyway.

-we will play the spurs in the second round and BEAT THEM! - TD will not be 100% when the playoffs start and he will have to deal with camby, kmart, and nene bruising him. by the time he gets to us he will be even more battered.

-we will play the suns in the conference finals and we will BEAT THEM! - nash will just run out of steam. he slows down around this time of the year. by the 3rd round he will be running on fumes.

-we will play the heat in the finals and we will LOSE! - yeah sorry, but our guards are too old to play that long into the year.

-we will sign a great fit at PF, draft and athletic 2/3, and make an upgrade in the backcourt.....we come back next year with a chip on our shoulder and we will WIN IT ALL!

The win against Phoenix is huge!!! Now all we need is to go 3-2 the rest of the way....Denver killed the Sonics...no, they are not overrated. Next Saturday: Playoff atmosphere basketball as Denver comes into town. More than likely, we will be one game behind or tied. Huge game...I better see a full arena with crazy fans. I will be there, are you?

I think Grizzlies are the crappiest of the Western Conference Playoff team. No body is afraid of them. First round fodder.

Plus the Nuggets come to Houston on the 2nd night of a back-to-back with Memphis, so that is also an advantage for the Rockets.

I love comments like this. We bust out a streak where we're 21-2, and we're overrated. Fine with me. Fine with the team. Hell, George Karl LOVES hearing that -- that's for sure.

    BTW, my predictions:

    #5 - Sacramento
    #6 - Denver
    #7 - Houston

But I'm a homer, so what do you expect?

Congrats Nuggets4. Your team is doing well but you better not meet us in the playoffs because you know Melo can't cover Tmac.

Sure, match ups are important in the playoffs, but right now the way that we're playing, the inconsistent shootings of our guards, the lack of touches and shots for Yao and on top of that, we get nothing at the 4 and not to mention all the injuries. I'm inclined to worry more about us before worry about anybody else that we will face in the playoffs!

denver may only lose one more game. that would give them 50W. it looks like we will end up with 48W and memphis with 46W.

if we want the 7th seed we MUST beat the nuggets on saturday evening out our records at 49.

DAMN IT! i have a wedding to go to on SAT. how long do weddings last? i was told to arrive at 3pm....the game isnt until 7:30 EST. and there will be a half hour drive home.

Melo wouldn't cover T-Mac anyway. Buckner or Johnson would.

tmac will get 30 no matter who in the nba guards him. If he is hot he will top 40 if he isnt then it will be low 20's.

the broadcaster last night said it best. "it doesn't matter who guards tracy. when he misses, it's because HE missed"

It's possible, but improbable. Look at your last 6 games:
    2 against San Antonio
    2 against Dallas
    1 against Denver
    1 against the Rockets.

Moreover, 4 of those 6 are on the road. Denver may finish ahead of us, but Memphis will have to play some VERY high quality basketball down the stretch to do that.

well, looks like the Kings are getting it done Vs LA. Maybe, just maybe they will hold to the 5th seed. Somehow, we need Golden State to beat Denver at home. If anything, the Warriors could be considered the 2nd hottest team in the NBA.
