Jazz are in the playoffs regardless of their standings with anyone outside their division, sadly. I would love to see the Utah j*zz get what they actually deserve which is a boot up the butt into the lottery.

They couldn't win an away game if all the white guys on their teams lives depended on it. They can shoot all the 3's and flop all they want....

    No Nuggets player scored 30

Kevin Durant -33 +/- Almost automatic R.O.Y. dismissal.
He had a very good game shooting the ball actually. But ZERO assists with no steals or blocks and just 3 rebounds wont help out a team's cause. And we can assume he wasnt Battier'ing out there doing the things that dont show up in the stats as witness by the score..

    Quote from Kenyon Martin:

Hard to believe anything against this year's Sonics is unheard of, but whatever.

While Nuggets is battling Warriors for a playoff spot, SuperSonics is battling the likes of Heat and Wolves for a more favourable lottery spot.

I see this game as a tanking exercise went horribly wrong. It is really funny how Martin could compare this to our 22-win streak. *cough*

Kenyon Martin comparing his teams performance to ours in any way is like comparing a turd to an eff'ing nuclear bomb. They stink it up, but think they smell great, while we wiped out everyone, and damn we know it's the truth.

Good lord some of you are sensitive. K-Mart's not saying this was more impressive than your 22 wins, he was just saying that it's crazy times in the NBA. Get a grip.

168 is a great stat, but I'm more thrilled about the 116. There had to be over 110 possessions in this game (minimum), meaning the Nugs played good to great defense in the game stat-wise. Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go figure out how the Nugs are going to score half this many points on Tuesday against Detroit.

huh? the nuggets are in their division. if denver makes up those 2 games they could be battling for the division lead and then they would be in the 4th seed and the jazz would be the ones battling golden state for the 8th seed. all i'm saying is they need to make up 2 games in the loss column on both the warriors and jazz, so i could see denver winning the northwest just as easily as someone saying they could take the 8th seed from golden state. it's just that with the way the jazz are playing on the road, i think them winning the division would be an easier task than passing golden state. so because of the ridiculous guaranteed seeding for division winners, it might be easier for denver to become the 4th seed than the 8th.

Denver will not make the playoffs.

    Denver's schedule
    L @ Detroit
    L @ Philadelphia
    W @ New Jersey
    L @ Toronto
    W @ Memphis
    W vs Dallas
    W vs Golden State
    L @ Phoenix
    W vs Phoenix
    W vs Sacramento
    W @ Seattle
    W @ LA Clippers
    L @ Golden State
    L @ Utah
    L vs Houston
    W vs Memphis

    They probably go 9-7

    GSW schedule
    W @ Sacramento
    W @ LA Clippers
    L vs Houston
    L @ LA Lakers
    W vs LA Lakers
    W vs Portland
    L @ Denver
    W vs Dallas
    L @ San Antonio
    L @ Dallas
    W @ Memphis
    L @ New Orleans
    W vs Sacramento
    L vs Denver
    W vs LA Clippers
    L @ Phoenix
    W vs Seattle

    They probably go 9-8.

The only chance Denver has to catch up is if they beat the Warriors twice. Interesting that the Denver plays the Rox at Toyota Center near the end of the season. If the Rox have locked the #1 spot (being optimistic here), they could play the reserves (that is tank the game) and let Denver be #8. Of course, you need to be careful what you wish for. I think Denver would as tough a matchup for the Rox as the Warriors.

I'm pretty sure you guys are on the same page.

dntrwl is saying the Jazz are safe for now as the division leader, but the Nuggets are starting to make things interesting in their division. If the Nuggets take the division lead(and 4th seed), it is likely that the Jazz would be where the Nuggets are now(outside looking in)

If Denver makes it into the playoffs, and we maintain the number 1 seed, that would be a very ugly playoff series. I would say if they keep playing like this, we would not want any part of them.

This is a complete embarrassment for the Sonics and the league. If I was GM, all these players would be gone. Anybody who has an ending contract would be cut immediately and all others would be on the trading block this summer. They were completely pathetic last night. They didn't put in an ounce of effort on the defensive end. They are going to be terrible for a long time. I'm not sure I even want them coming to OKC.
