I can really only see the Rockets being the odd man out in this scenario. If Bonzi is looking for the prestige that an NBA championship would bring him to increase his value next year then he will most likely pick the Heat, they being the current NBA champions, if he is looking to put up big numbers then he'd probaly prefer Denver. Either way the Rockets don't seem to fit his needs. On side note, if Bonzi went to Denver it would be interesting since he and Melo play almost the same game.

We need Bonzi. There is no other way around it. We will be a good team, but to be able to.... A. Win a championship, or B. Remain in the Playoff hunt, in the event of a Tmac or Yao injury, we need him.

    Size, Strength, Rebounding, creating Offense.

    Please God, let this happen.

I would love to get a Bonzi Wells rental if it comes free. I'm just not willing to give up Head for that rental.

There is no room for Bonzi anymore. The only way i would take Bonzi is if he would come off the bench. Although a lineup of Skip/Bonzi/T-mac/Shane/Yao looks great, I don't think Shane can play the 4 spot full-time. He'll get ate up by the likes of Duncan,Garnett,J.Oneal,ect. I'm all for Shane playing the 4 but I think he would be more productive as a perimeter defender.

Not to mention that we have Sura( ),Snyder,Head and maybe V-Span are all capable of playing the 2 spot. People always say we need a 3rd scorer but I disagree. Yao and T-Mac will demand most of the shots, we just need our roleplayers (Shane and company) to step up and put in some extra points.

Bonzi does plenty of things, but one thing he has never done is play point. I guess you meant shooting guard.

I see is at go for him if you don't think that yao and tracy can stay healthy all year but if they are able to stay healthy, i think that the line-up they have right now can definitely be a playoff team now whether or not they can contend for a championship i do not know

A Sign and Trade must be for a minimum of 3 years. I'd fall out of my chair if a 30 year old Wells signed a 3 year deal starting at (the TE value of) $4.3M.

With the $Ball mindset that now dominates Rockets' management, I'd be equally surprised if they even contacted him.

Not that it'll happen, but HOW does Denver keep getting all these dudes?

Why are they even in the game? Everyone says you can only have two-high salaried guys. How many do they have? Geez.

While it is true that a S&T must be for at least 3 years, only the 1st year has to be guaranteed. So essentially, to appease Bonzi wanting to be aFA again, you make it a 3 year deal, with the 2nd and 3rd year being Player Options. So then, he excercises the option and becomes a FA at the end of yr 1. Bam, S&T, 1 year rental.

Not sayign a 1 year rental is the best way to go, but if we are really in win-now mode, then another veteran presence can't hurt. Even if Snyder is starting and Bonzi is the 6th man off the bench, thats a heck of a 6th man. I like Luther, but for the slight downgrade form Luther to Hart, 1 year of Bonzi is well worth it.

Good to know its only a 3-horse race and I'd say we're in second place! I just can't see Bonzi coming off the bench in Miami after the season/playoffs he had last year. He'll want starting minutes and Denver and Houston are more than willing to give them to him.

Let's face it, T-Mac WILL NOT play in all 82 games next season. Bonzi would be great with Yao for that handful of games, helping him pick up the scoring slack. He would also give us that "pitbull" at the 2 guard that JVG would love, great rebounder a well. We would almost assuredly lose Head if he came over, but if it was for a Finals appearence, I'd do it today! Maybe the first year guarenteed, 2nd year team option, 3rd year player option, starting at $2.1 M?

    Yao/Deke
    Battier/Howard/Hayes
    T-Mac/Novak/Bowen
    Bonzi/Snyder/Jacobsen
    Skip/V-Span/JL III

Here's any interesting question, would anyone of rather kept V-Span in Greece for 1 more season, keeping our $4.2 M TE intact and we were guarenteed to get Bonzi this offseason?!? With half of it now left, will Bonzi bite?

I never thought Bonzi and the Rox would be in consideration. Everything about acquiring Bonzi is wrong.

    Except - BW has talent

    and

    Rox need more talent.
