And what did T-Mac actually say in 2005 series vs Mavs?

IIRC, after we won game 6, in fact Deke was the one with big mouth who promised 2nd round and T-Mac was pretty upset with his statements.

As harsh as that sounds I totally agree with what you said. You prove your dominance by actually winning, not talking. It's not a bad thing, though, that he has his confidence back and he's not saying those "i've lost a step" crap.

Just stay healthy and anything is possible come playoff time

Is it time to start a "pick Rockets Dynasty's next user ID after he gets banned again" thread in the hangout?

there's a difference between confidence and ignorance..

that and the fact that humility goes a long way, which can also be coupled with confidence btw. And i agree with the guy.. everytime mcgrady has said something absolute, something bad happened.. it's probably b/c he doesn't believe in superstition or luck, but we know how that's going with the rockets.

that's why he wants him to be quiet or humble sometimes.. actually, he didn't even request this; he requested that t-mac kept these thoughts in his head..

what's wrong with that?? are you the kind to buy a nice car and go around telling everyone you have it?

I think McGrady actually underdid it. I don't think there is a person that visits this board that wouldn't be extremely disappointed if we don't beat the Jazz and will feel like we underachieved if we don't beat the Jazz.

We are better than the Jazz, period. Surely, everybody that comes here understands that. And McGrady is still giving Utah props. He's being nice, I think.

This is why I said home court in the 1st round vs. Utah isn't that important. If we lose in 7 games that proves beyond a doubt we aren't ready for prime time. And there is no use sweating it since we are unlikely to catch them. IF they tank enough for us to get close (or if we are so piping hot and get close), we will beat them in less than 7 games.
