I'm not surprised by this. He lost in the first round yet again. Denver decided to go in a different direction. Now I do think the Nuggets will be a lot worse next year as a result, but maybe the front office and ownership have decided it's better to rebuild both the roster and coaching staff and try something new cuz getting eliminated every year in the first round(2009 notwithstanding) is no way to generate interest in your franchise.

Never liked George Karl's personality and I don't think he's that good of a coach, but he had the Nuggets playing very well. He should never have been coach of the year in the first place, but since he was, I find this move strange.

I don't think this was a good move, I'm not sure what their peak is but Gallo got hurt and that put a damper on their whole season and postseason.

They are one of the youngest teams in the league. What is the point of blowing it up again.

Great news for Rockets, 1 less team to worry about. 6 NBA coaches who took their teams to the playoffs this year are no longer employed. A 7th is very possible with Popovich probaly retiring with Duncan, if they win it all.

He's the best coach in the NBA IMO. Houston would be lucky to have him.

Karl will end up somewhere else next year.

    He's on the Clippers' shortlist

    George Karl hired by ESPN.

(If you're keeping track, Doug Collins, George Karl, and P.J. Carlesimo)

George Karl should hold out for the Seattle job once they get a team in the next couple of year.
