Am I the only one here to think Grizzlies would smoke us?

I wonder if any of the Western Conference top 5 are saying to themselves, "hope we don't get the Rockets!"

No. They would have home court, and their overall talent level is too much higher.

I don't like our chances. Denver is just way too complete of a team--they have the shot blockers to nullify or significantly reduce two of our favorite shots: layups and FTs. Gallinari is turning into Dirk 2, and oh btw they're the hottest team sans lebron in the league. Bad matchup. Me no likey. I'd SERIOUSLY rather get SA or OKC.

We don't have a chance of beating anyone this year in the playoffs. We have dmo as a starter! Has there ever been a less experienced player in a playoff series? Our sixth man is Carlos Delfino. He doesn't stack up against most playoff teams sixth men.

Having said that if we make the playoffs then this season should be considered a huge success, the future will look bright and we should all be happy.

I have been watching the NBA playoffs for many years. No doubt there are always clear favorites, but I have learned that anybody can beat anybody on a given night and even unexpectedly win a series. Did you think the Heat would sweep the Thunder last year? The Thunder were really rolling, and while I knew the Heat could win the series, I didn't expect a sweep. I was shocked how easily the Thunder handled the Spurs. Answer, yes, the Rockets could beat the Nuggets, but not likely.

The thing about the Grizzlies is that they are vulnerable to a fast paced uptempo game. Yes, they would destroy us if we were forced to play a slow half court game.

But if the Rockets could dictate the pace, I like our chances against them.

Denver may (hopefully) be a team peaking too early. Obviously a 15 game win streak is not their mean average. When they do come back to earth, they wont seem so formidable.

They called the Rockets a lottery team before the season. They did so after the arival of Harden. And now??? We have beaten some teams that are or were called title contender. Like the last couple of years no team likes to play against us. I'm convinced that the Rockets will reach the playoffs. No matter who we will face we just can win. With the playoffs this team would accomplished more people think they are capable of. The pressure is on teams like the Thunder, Clippers or Spurs.

Get your point, although it was 4-1 Heat.

Yes! This current Rockets roster has the potential to make a surprising run.

Whether they do or not, it's been, and continues to be, an amazing season of basketball.

Denvers depth is great for in season and in case of injuries. Its importance gets less in the playoffs and the coaches play the best players for longer minutes.

Also it would be fun for the matchups. Put trobs motor vs farieds motor would be fun. Our bigs are better, their pg is better and it all depends on iggy vs harden imo

I would like to see the Rockets face Denver or Memphis. Neither has a Superstar, and Superstar's excel in the Playoffs.

I predict our first round opponents will be the Clippers. Nuggets have one of the toughest remaining schedule while Clippers have one of the easiest!

    Get ready for Clippers!

We don't have much chance to advance to the 2nd around anyways, unless we face the Grizzlies which doesn't seem probable now. Having said that, I would rather we face OKC to gain more experience and let Harden prove himself against his old team.

Actually would love to play Denver in a series.

Im confident whoever we play Houston will give them some problems in some way, and they can be beatable.

They get a load of free throws and lenient calling. I'd tear all my hair out playing them in a series.

And, they have the scariest home court advantage in basketball. I do NOT want to play them. I would rather play pretty much any team other than Denver.
