Most pundits seem to be positive about the trade, but the Warriors doubled down on short and old.

heh. ;) let's say he was not at his best, especially when looking at +/-.

I dunno. But this scientist only looks at +/- when the magnitude is greater than 25. :D:eek:

Is Schröder really a consistent scorer, still do not have a clue after all these years, I have not watched him in depth.

This will be a good fit during the playoffs for Warriors, and I don’t like that lol.

For various reasons, Golden State hasn't acquired what they really need which is a high level player to aid Curry and eventually supplant him as the #1 guy in a few seasons.

Schröder didn't cost much in the way of assets, so expectations should be minimalized as well. His style of play wasn't going to be the best fit with what the Warriors have preferred to do on offense over the years.

Maybe not. Isn't Schroeder a slow dribbler creator while GS is a run, movement, and 3 team.

    https://www.espn.com/nba/insider/st...-jimmy-butler-trade-buzz-intel-next-heat-saga

The Warriors have struggled offensively during their fall back to .500, going 2-7 across a 10-game stretch and had the 24th-ranked offense in the league over that period. Golden State sent some second-round picks to Brooklyn to land Dennis Schroder, with the hopes of having someone else besides Stephen Curry who can generate offense.

The problem is that Schroder has only generated more struggles for Golden State. He shot 22-for-74 (29.7%) overall, including 7-for-34 (20.6%) from 3-point range over his first seven games with the Warriors, and averaged almost the same number of turnovers as he did with the Nets while generating half as many assists.

Golden State has been outscored by a staggering 23.9 points per 100 possessions in 193 minutes with Schroder on the court and is outscoringopponents by more than six points per 100 possessions in 188 minutes without him. Scouts watching the Warriors have wondered whether the clunky fit will continue.

"If you turn your team over to him and play to his strengths, he can be effective," one scout said. "But that's not how the Warriors play."

Schroder isn't going to shoot that poorly all season long, as shown by Thursday's performance in a blowout win of the Philadelphia 76ers. He had 15 points, 6 assists, 2 steals, no turnovers and was plus-17 in 25 minutes. But one game isn't going to erase more than a month of offensive struggles for the Warriors, who are still 5-13 over their past 18 games.

Yes but Dennis is a smart dude and got long arms for defense.

I agree he's a plus defender... for a very small guy. Shot poorly again last night, and the Warriors got run at home.

Not looking like the trade they needed, at this point.

Damn, you got to be really bad to go 2-7 in a 10-game stretch.

Getting a Curry heir isnt exactly easy to do lol, esp when they whiffed on Wiseman and arguably Kuminga.
