The dude wanted to make a poll about a guy who could barely hold back tears to see if people thought he was grandstanding or sincere? Then he doesn't come back to his thread after whining like a 5 year old about his lack of 'options' that he is too dense to figure out that he actually DOES have? He deserves more than 1 derp
Behind the show and antics, Rodman has always seemed like a good dude to me. I thought the speech was pretty impressive.
Since Rodman, Metta World Peace has dutifully carried the torch for mentally scarred defensive specialists trying to make it through life (and the league) while providing intermittent moments of entertaining craziness. But as Metta's career winds down, I wonder who will pick up the torch? Any candidates out there? DeMarcus Cousins seems to have the me-against the world thing going, but doesn't inspire sympathy like Rodman or Artest.
I didn't watch the speech. I just wanted to pile-on to the guy who couldn't figure out how to post a poll and then blamed Clutch for his failure. Lol.
I think it was genuine on his part. Rodman loves publicity but there is no doubt he is truly an emotional guy and this sounded pretty genuine. He was a great player and even though I never was a big fan of his I don't see any reason to think that his HOF speech was just an act.
