That was a rather stinky B movie. I don't even think that Erica Eleniak's well-endowed form could not salvage what was probably the worst vampire flick since Fright Night.
Apparently I am, my friend. I seem to have you responding excitedly to everyone of my posts. You are the one who needs to do their homework, Mr. Know-it-all. Why do you hate Republicans so much? I don't like them either, mind you, but why? Why such blind hatred? I'm just curious why you respond to everything I say with such vitriolic gusto (and no, limpdick, I didn't need to pull out the dictionary. I went to college and read more books in six years than you've read in a lifetime. You're probably not too familiar with those kind of books, you know the kind that don't have pictures ) You may have chased other newbies off the board with your crap, but buddy, I'm here to stay. So put that in your pipe and smoke it.
Oh yes, I'm very excited...NOT. Why do I hate Republicans? It's not just Republicans, pal. I hate politicians, regardless of party. However, what I hate even more is people who spout crap like "Demo-socialists". If you use that funky word-meld, then you must use "Republi-facists" or "Republi-nazis" as well, right? Or is your vitriol one-sided? Probably, due to the blinders that are permanently attached to the sides of your dome. And congrats on going to college and learning how to read. I'm sure Birmingham Community College is a fine institution, and I'm sure you are a proud alumnus. Bama-slamboy, you can post whatever you wish here. Just keep in mind that if you post mindless, pot-stirring crap, no doubt designed to get a response, you just might receive a response you don't like. Deal with it, newbie. Out.
Just watered-down irony from me. You and a Springer-style argument seemed like a ridiculous mix. I thought the statue plan was a capital idea, by the way. But apparently, if you want the Denny's breakfast menu from Alabama to reply, you have to use some name calling.
You seem to have a history of overestimating me. Not that I would participate in a machismo fueled name-calling fest, but for you to think of me as a kind of ideal opposite is a bit embarrasing. In any event, thanks for the sentiment. By the way, the Physical Review E thing hurt my head a little bit. You science people write funny...one would think that the five of you would be able to write more than a paragraph without resorting to number/symbol gibber. At least when my kind make up words and phrases we use the proper English alphabet. Nature was easier but actually a little more boring for me.
Mindless? I'm not the one who pigeon-holes people into a mindless stereotype. Have you ever been to Alabama or has your image of my former state been broadcast to you via TV? The movies Forrest Gump and My Cousin Vinny are not what the state is about. I don't like Republicans either, but yet they are not fascists for sure. I seem to remember that I'm not the only one who likes to attach rather convenient labels to politicians (I read your little post about the Tom Delay-type "goon" that will be your representative.). Talk about the proverbial pot calling the kettle black. You seem to be the only one who doesn't like what I post. Everyone has been nothing but civil and responding with rationality, not insults. You've been the only one who has been less than welcoming. At least those who disagreed with me could do more than call me names. It appears the only pot I stirred was yours. I wish you well and I really hope you get someone to deal with your rage towards your fellow man. It is so unbecoming.
Actually he's just the only one fool enough to engage you. (What is up with that, Tex?) If you do, in fact, intend to be around for a while, I'd suggest toning it down. Of those actually still reading this thread, it's a sure bet there are more disliking your style than liking it (if there are any of those) and I guarantee you the only reason this thread's not locked yet is because the mods haven't read it. And Tex, leave it be will you? Like Clutch says, "Don't feed the trolls."
I might consider it. I didn't want you to think that I didn't enjoy your response to my post. It was tongue cheek, quite funny and I got a laugh from it. My point is that socialism of itself could never suceed because of the stigma attached to the name. Camoflauge its tenets in the guise of the friendlier-sounding "liberalism" and you have a winner. Just let me know their address (Wisconsin would be a good start, Milwaukee elected several socialist mayors) and I'll begin my campaign forthwith.
Understood. I don't want to be a troll. I just don't like my heritage questioned. I'm sure you can understand that. From now on, I will take your advice. Thanks for gently reminding me of my place.
Hmmm, let see.... A belief system where we are all responsible for the care of the children, the old, the infirmed and poor. Where we place the concerns of others ahead of ourselves. Where we eschew the pusuit of worldly goods so that we can ejoy a more fulfilling life . Where we engage violence with passivity and forgiveness. Where love is the point of life. And you don't want to call it socialism or communism.....hmmm... I know, we can call it Christianity! No, no that's already taken by those people who believe in that big dude that lives in outer space. Besides if we call it a religeon people will be inclined to kill us cause it's not their religion. And if we call it Humanism they will want to kill us because it's not a religion. Well, I'm stumped. It is obvious we're on to something here. We just need a catchy name. Maybe a good ad agency could come up with some ideas and we could run by a focus group. Jeep
Do what you want bamaslammer, but I wouldn't go in for that crrap. You called Begala et al a couple of names deriding their political inclinations and some of these posters here called you names. That's a different animal... which is seen around here quite frequently.
I just never realized that calling other people names would get me insulted. Go figure. I didn't realize the amount of sensitivity present here. Socialism in general has a record of failure so blatant that only an intellectual could ignore or evade it. -- Thomas Sowell
Is it over? DAMN YOU JONES! though i don't agree with bama politically, i don't like generalizations either.
