That would be me. Seriously, I agree with Gene Peterson on this one. DM has always struck me as a guy who thinks for himself and doesn't blindly follow either political party. Kind of refreshing, if you ask me.
Because he made you feel stoopid? By the way, I think Dennis made his turn to the republican party and George Bush because he was personally embarrassed and deeply disappointed in the failure of the Clinton Presidency. During his first campaign, before his lecherous nature became known, Bill Clinton seemed to offer a Kennedyesque personna. A chance for our generation to take over the leadership of the country with a just, progressive and compassionate agenda. And as I recall Dennis was an ardent supporter. But then Clinton just wasted it all. He opened with his "gays in the military" declaration right off the bat. Not that that isn't the right position it's just that it is so devisive and controversional to just hit everybody with on day one. Then, when he knew the right wing would scrutinize every skeleton in his closet in an effort to discredit him, he let the little head do his thinking. The rest is history, Bill Clinton offered so much hope but ended up as just a bad sex joke. Miller also got rich during the Clinton years so that has a tendency to change your priorities. And, aside from a few syntax errors the is little doubt that George W. Bush will uphold the dignity of the office of The President of The United States and after being redfaced for 8 years , that's gotta look pretty good to all of us regardless of our political viewpoint. (or would that be irregardless to you Rocketman?) Jeep
Exactly. It won't take much effort to avoid his current offerings. It's almost like we're all boycotting him by default. I'm sick of his insecure pseudo-intellectual, I-read-something-online-about-it-two-minutes-ago rants. Boring.
I used to hate Dennis Miller when he was a raging lib, because he was, along with Paul Begala and James Carville, one of the most obnoxious pinko-commies who ever drew breath. Supposedly, he's had a change in heart because of 9/11 and the fact that he's disgusted with the attitude of the Demo-socialists. As I always say, it's never to late to see the light.
Basically that the liberals lied about him and that he was right and a true American hero. I nearly started a thread on her after watching that crap yesterday. She's the most vile person I've ever heard.
Hmmm...did yer trailer slip off it's concrete blocks last night, Gomer? Or is that Pearl Lite beer your drinking for breakfast this morning tasting a little funny?
BTW, Gene, those , were added to the end of my post to indicate sarcasm. Next time, I'll just spell it out for you.
I've never heard her do anything but bully and mock. Anytime Begala would ask her a question, she'd either answer with a laugh or simply say that liberals were treasonous. He asks her a serious question about her views about George McGovern, a war hero, and she somehow comes to the conclusion that Begala is trying to disenfranchise women??? WTF??? She'd make a ridiculous remark, Begala would try to respond, then her and Novak would bully up on him. It was two against one, you know. Begala, Carville, Carlson, Novak, et al. are simply annoying to the other side because they do the same thing over and over. However, they're all generally respectful to their opponents. Coulter is far from that.
honestly, i don't know how you guys can watch any of those shows anymore. it's all way too stressful after a long day at work!
I came in about halfway through the show. Based on the bit that I saw I'd have to say that some of your recollection is colored by your dislike of her... can you say "Dr. Laura!"
Crossfire normally isn't bad, even though I prefer Tucker Carlson to Robert Novak. It's only 30 minutes long, a couple of the segments don't allow for long debates of them yelling over each other, and the hosts and guests are normally respectful of each other. It's the only one I ever watch, and it's normally just on in the background though.
Ditto to you as well. You're right, I can't stand the woman. She cannot carry on a civil debate with anyone. I've never seen her be nothing but mocking, insulting and downright nasty. With her running around out there, I'm not surprised about some of the stereotypes that people still carry about Republicans.
Glad you enjoyed it, you Rush-loving, beer-drooling, piece of Bush-worshipping trailer trash! By the way, did I slip enough names in there for ya Luther?
