Absolutely, we should keep MJ. I just wanted to point out that he is not as young as NewYorker thought he was. MJ can't possibly be a spring chicken if JVG actually traded for him. ;)

I also would love to see Antonio Daniels replace Sura as a hybrid 1/2.He can handle the rock, and is a streaky shooter, just like Sura. Not a bad rebounder too.Daniels seperates himself with his speed, defense, and downright freakish athletic ability.Antonio was drafted high. The guy has given us flashes of that potential for years, but has never been able to harness it.He would fit well with this team.

For as much effort that Sura provided, he was not the positive this team needed from the starting point guard. On the other hand Mike James did an awsome job.

But Mike's game is suited for coming off the bench. Therefore, the Rockets need a starting point guard who will stay healthy. If Spanoulis is the guy, then Sura might just be the odd man out.

I'm not completely ruling out Antonio Daniels, but our starting point guard next year must be good at making other players better. He's got to know how to feed Yao in the post and T-Mac on the wing. Yes, we need more speed and athleticism, but we also need someone who fits the traditional point guard mold.

One exception: If our new starting SG is a better than average passer, a younger, quicker hybrid like Daniels may fit the bill at PG. Either way, one of our two starters at guard needs to be a great outside shooter who will be the critical third option on offense.

I think CD and Van Gundy would probably both like to see how Sura bounces back after an offseason to heal his many injuries before they make an attempt to address the point guard situation. I think they'll likely give Spanoulis a look during camp, but their more immediate concern is definitely going to be shoring up the power forward position. Sadly, no reports yet of Badiane being "ready to come over." ;)

Yeah I get the feeling that Wesley will be gone as well. Even though Sura isn’t the typical PG, he brings a lot of toughness to this team. I have to believe that off-season surgery and rest will get him back to playing like he was before the All-Star break. I would still like to bring over Spanoulis so that we can try to groom him to be the PG of the future (or at least see if he has the capabilities to become that). I am sure that Sura will miss a few games so Spanoulis will still get some playing time here and there.

Not putting too much hope on this guy meant that We still need a pure PG in order to build around T-Mac and Yao. Spanoulis is just a potential for the future. If the management don't build the team up quick, we will have the 'T-Mac demands a trade to the Houston" thing happening all over again.

Magics had this HuGe cap space eaten by a injured Grant Hill. The Rockets have all those dead weight eating up cap space while sitting on the bench. This team still need a true PG beside adding the 20+ mpg guaranteed Greek potential.

how soon a lot of people forget what sura meant to this team. just recall that charlie ward was running the point at the beginning of the season, and the team was finally able to solidify the pg spot when sura got healthy. he's playing through pain, so i think he shy'd away from going to the hole and worried more about setting up the offense. when did Jt become such a good defender. sura's health slowed him down. he can put up good numbers when healthy.

also, wesley gave us a lot of good minutes. dallas posed a lot of bad matchups for houston, but against other teams wesley would be good at guarding the other teams best 1, 2 or 3. i personally would like to see wesley stay here. don't know what his contract situation is, but his shooting was good for us during some stretches.

don't know much about the vassily kid, but hope he can come over and learn a little bit from everyone. take some of sura's toughness and wesley hard nose defense.

2 players that could help us out at the 1,2 or 3 is Bobby Simmons or Mike Miller. Now, i was impressed with Simmons this year. Haven't see much of him, but remember he did really well against us. Miller is good at setting up the offense, and could give TMac some rest at the 3. Not sure about his defense though.

if utah is willing to take some expiring contracts....i would love to get Carlos Boozer. he's tough and great on the boards. but i like his toughness. we need someone who can really punk @$$e$$ like Josh Howard. i know sura threw him to the ground, but JHO is a young punk that needs to understand that he's nothing, but a scrappy role player. don't know if anyone caught this, or if i did not see it correctly, but in the 1st quarter of game 7......during a time out and the players were walking to the bench....howard gave sura a shoulder shove. that's why i think we need Boozer to punk guys like this.

anyways....i didn't like phoenix at all this year, but i'm rooting for the suns to whip the pu$$ie$.

Why not give Badiane a chance to be a Dennis Rodman style contributor (minus the theatrics of course). Our interior defense in the Mavs series was horrific. Offensive rebounds and players driving the lane for layups were commonplace. Having a player that can block/alter shots and hustle for rebounds and loose balls is very important. Forget about Badiane's Euro stats. He was injured for a good part of the season. Plus, what kind of stats do you think Dennis Rodman or Ben Wallace would put up in the Euroleague if they played 20 minutes per game and didn't have sets run for them? Two summers ago, Badiane busted his butt in the summer league over here and showed tremendous promise. Given that his strengths are *exactly* the Rockets' weaknesses, it really makes sense to give him a shot.

jaric would be nice, but he probably hasn't played 82 games total in the last two seasons...

At the very least he is an upgraded Ryan Bowen, with some offense.

Thanks, tuus... The stats look good and it would appear he is the leader of his team. I hope he gets a good look with the Rockets next year; it would appear he deserves it.

Can't we just buy out Ward's option and bring this guy in?

If this guy was capable of playing in the league, he'd already be over here. The fact that he's not, and won't be here again next season, should tell you what you need to know about his prospects. At best he's a longshot. Showing promise in the Euroleague is not the same as showing promise in the NBA.

Duhon sounds like a nice option. With Chicago needing to bring back in Curry and Chandler, maybe Duhon can be had...
