Worrell has been around the Rockets and Houston sports in general way before JVG got here and will be here for a long time after JVG is shown the door. With Worrell coming out against JVG's comments and questioning the waiving of JB, I can't help but think that he is reflecting some of the Rockets thinking at the moment. Remember like a month ago when JVG would mockingly smile and laugh during the post game press conferences? saying, "They say I never smile, so this is the kinder gentler Van Gundy." It was so bizarre that I had to think he was responding to some criticism. Maybe it was internal criticism. Either way, I can't see JVG coaching out his entire contract. It isn't just this year. I know John and Lance kiss his ass every morning, but what exactly has JVG done for this team since he got here? He has totally turned over the roster, and had one first round flameout in the playoffs. Rudy could have done that! The results just aren't there, with Rafer coming out against JVG's comments, maybe the players have quit. Maybe it is time for a change now. I will tell you this much, if T-Mac or Yao was to come out saying JVG has to go, I am thinking he would be fired that day.
What did Rafer say (and how did I miss it)? I was befuddled enough about Juwan's "coach is entitled to his opinion" remark after JVG had just singled him and Bowen as the only guys on the team with heart/dedication/guts/determination (or whatever). Rafer actually took a swipe at JVG?
