Yeah... everyone is a leftest when there are no consequences. Let us see what unfolds over the next 5 years. If there is economic hardship coupled with cultural alienation and terrorist attacks; many of those "leftest" Germans will be the first wanting Islamic extremists and their activities controlled.

Not really, just placing the blame where it belongs, something that you avoid at every turn when it comes to your boy dubya.

LOL what a stupid comment, you do realize that I've been blaming Bush for the policy from the start right? It was a stupid Bush policy that Obama continued and pretended was his idea to begin with. BOTH are to blame for the results.

Not hardly, Bobby, with all due respect. Obama wouldn't have been confronted with the chaos in Iraq and the resulting backwash across the region had George W. Bush not made that god-awful decision to invade Iraq.

Yes, it was just as stupid as you calling Obama my "boy," which was the point.

Going into Iraq wasn't the mistake, abandoning Iraq was the mistake. It's like saying the decision for the surgeon to perform heart surgery is what killed the patient rather than pointing out that they never stitched him up to finish the job being the reason the patient died.

Yeah, I would agree that you are wasting your time trying to sell that story, I don't buy it, I'm not going to buy it.

The Iraq war was blundered by abandoning Iraq, it could have been done right, it just wasn't.

Exhibit B: Proof that these neo-morons on this BBS will contort things to any lengths to defend their position.

(Exhibit A was saying a Nazi Swastika is not a racist symbol).

Actually these are far deeper in the alphabet, but there were only 26 letters.

It is all true. You're adding the occupation phase onto the war against Saddam's regime, but the Bush admin clearly didn't consider it that thoroughly from the very beginning.

They thought the war would end quickly and totally flubbed the occupation phase where billions of art, property and treasure disappeared weeks after Saddam fell. The assumption was that the occupation would be like Germany or Japan. We were even dreaming that the Iraqis would pay for our bases with the oil we liberated...except it ended up being completely different than any Americans expectations. Months after Mission Accomplished, basic utilities were still in shortages across urban stress and Iraqis began to sour against the occupation.

The Secretary of Defense and Ass sec defense thought we'd be greeted as liberators, so they trashed their army joint chief's recommendations for three times the number of troops...a number far higher than the Surge and was deliberately meant to handle post war occupation. When Gen. Shinseki testified that to congress, he slowly withered away to retirement while those ****bags to this day live in relative piece without any fear of answering for their disgusting negligence and criminality.

Yes, it does matter to remember the whole damn thing with all the ugly details because they did do all the brilliant ideas you've been bringing up, except it couldn't cover up that one mistake that we shouldn't have jumped the gun when we didn't know the situation there.

I see you're trying to imply that John Oliver made a joke about the Paris attacks on his show this past week.

Per usual, you're a hack who contributes no original thought to the board.

Here is what Oliver wore last night on the show when he addressed the Paris attacks:

Wow, the depth that he goes to try to frame someone. They have no ethical standards. That's so disgusting. Commodore is really willing to to just outright lie.

I like John Oliver even though I don't agree with him much. He's funny and has a good heart. I refuse to believe he would ever make fun of this attack and moreover I know he didn't.

However, less than 2 months ago in the video that the still photo comes from he was MOCKING anyone who would be concerned about terrorists infiltrating the refugee flood. And it turns out, he should have been concerned as well.

To be fair, they actively do give a **** rather than sip their espressos and say they give a ****.

It'll be interesting to see what the Germans have learned from their Turkish experience and apply with the big Katrina-like influx all over the country.
