Listen, I like Graham Platner's schtick and I hope he kicks the crap out of Susan Collins, one of the single worst legislators to ever dodder down the halls of the Senate. Just a reprehensible buffoon who knowingly does bad things and then lies to herself and America abouth But, not having enough Graham Platners or Graham Platner Ads or any kind of Ad is not anywhere close to the problem. The Problem is, it's not a TV Ads buy game anymore; you can buy ads like that till the cows come home but nobody watches TV anymore; media platforms are controlled by rich technofacists who push fascists like Trump in order to keep ****ing over the country. We keep telling ourselves there's an easy way out to make things the way they were before. There's no easy way out, it ain't candidates or ad buys. The whole system is rotted to its core & needs to be replaced
Yep. I've seen that messaging so many times. A little different coming from a Democrat, but they all fall in line once they get there.
Yea, another thing to consider is with the whole, "I am a common man, I'm not bought by any interests" is... not bought yet... likely guys like Platner who seemingly don't come from much can likely get bought pretty cheaply and surprisingly quickly if he wins. Very easy to get corrupted by the system.
"I'm not fooled by this fake charade of Collins delibrerations and moderation. The differences between Susan Collins and Ted Crus is at least Ted Cruz is honest about selling us out and not giving a damn." lol Gotta get out of the primary first. He's apparently running against two established Democrats, ages 72 and 68.
You're 100% right that at the level of the senate, presidency, and governorships, TV advertising is a complete waste of money. To win those races it's all about ownership and influence over platforms, institutions, and organizations. For every other race you can move the needle with TV because the majority of the voters for those less sexy races are still boomers who watch the 6 o clock news.
