Should be easy to determine if Michelle Obama was ever on a panel with Farrakhan at Trinity. If that fact is established, it lends more credibility to the rumors. However, I suspect they will remain rumors and my guess is that any "transcripts" will turn out to be manufactured. If you're a GOP operative and saving this for the best time, why would you even want to leak about the existence of such tapes, much less allow them to be transcribed? Much more effective to spring them all of a sudden and catch the Obama camp without an effective response. Now, if by the almost infinite chance this is a true rumor, you've given them time to prep for their response. If they are smart enough to hold onto it until the right time, they're smart enough to hold onto it until the right time. The whole thing seems ridiculous to me and much in keeping with the Kerry love-child rumor or the Obama Madrassa rumor. It's probably another effort to get a GOP created rumor out there so they can use it to appeal to the baser instincts of their base.

She's going to suspend her campaign in the next few days. If she was behind it and it was real, it would be in the news today. The McCain thread, in case you couldn't tell from my intro, was not really a slam... more like a wonder at how young our country is and how quickly society changes. Some of those things on that list are younger than I am.

There sure are a lot of people jumping up and disputing specifics of an apparently "non-existent" tape... in a coordinated effort all across the internet... parroting one another in lockstep ('backfire', 'why'd he instead of whitey', 'where's the tape?', 'Republican smear tactics', etc)... telling... Look, it's so obvious that the Obamarhoids' MO (snicker) today is to say, 'Where is the tape? You can't produce it? Then it doesn't exist and you are a liar. Because you can't produce the tape, then you have no credibility." That's just a pathetic defense. No one ever promised that the tape would be aired today. No one. So the very fact that you have to distort the situation is telling. Very telling... They are just trying to discredit their adversaries long enough to secure the nomination -- knowing full well the tape is in secure hands and will be released only when the owners desire it to be released. It only gets worse from here, Obama fans. Much worse. Bank on that, friends.
