Back on topic...Ryans is turning out to be one of the steals of the draft. He should easily win DROY and be in the Pro Bowl at this point.
14 more solo tackles than anyone else in the NFL... 3.5 sacks...which leads linebackers with 60+ solo tackles. The guy is an effin stud...if we can get a linebacker next to him who can have the same impact, that would be some fun stuff to watch.
Demeco's attitude is starting to rub off on the rest of this defense. Look at Faggins grabbing that fumble and taking it to the house. Mario was in the backfield on almost every passing play. Hell, the whole D-line seemed to be. Even our weak-ass safeties were hitting people. When D-Mac got that INT, he carried the ball to the sidelines and it looked like the WHOLE TEAM came up to congratulate him. He and Mario can be the base of a damn good defense for years to come, if they can get some more help this offseason.
Just a quick question - Okay, Demeco has Defensive Rookie of The Year locked up. A pro-bowl spot is all his. At what point, though, does he start getting talked about for Defensive Player of The Year? He's having the best season right now of any linebacker in the league, and when you compare him to the Julius Peppers' and other elite defensive players in the league, his stats make a case. I say if he can nab another interception or two, and maybe force a few more fumbles, while, of course, staying healthy (knock on wood), he could garner many votes. I'm anxious to watch this kid's career unfold. At least there's a few bright spots on this team.
MY MONEYS on urlacher.... not that his stats are much better but hes on the best defense in the NFL while ryans is a one man defense.
