Man you hate to see that to a great player who carries himself with so much class. Will be missed.

And to those joking that the defense can't get worse..well you're correct. Maybe now defences will even attempt to run a little bit more and bentley can do a servicable job. I hear a stat somewhere that the defence from the 2 win team in 05 had a way better D.

Only 2/3 players come back after a achilles tendon tear, and those who do see significant drops in performances. This is terrible, get well soon DeMeco :(

Its a tear not a rupture. It should be recoverable.

You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to Rocket River again.

It's one of those roll of the dice injuries too. You can have it all stretched out and the Achilles will still snap.

    Big loss for the Texans.

    Wishing him a speedy recovery.

Terrible news but you got to keep playing with you have. My guess is they are going move Zach Diles inside and start Xavier Adibi at WLB. But the Adibi is so fragile and is ALWAYS hurt. Losing Ryans won't hurt much versus the Colts because you play the whole game in nickle and dime. David Nixon was solid. He had 9 tackles and really only played a half. When Nixon is active, the Texans are 3-0. He just wins. :)

    Damn that sucks. :(

Man, crazy. With how bad our Defense has been. We are still 4-2 and in first place!

EJ Henderson had the most gruesome broken leg injury I have ever seen Week 14 last year and was healthy to start this season. Wes Welker tore his ACL last year in Week 17 and was back to start this season.

Yeah I think he ends up with either the Redskins, Packers, Ravens, or Jets. He is a 3-4 outside linebacker. All those teams play 3-4 defenses and need help at linebacker. He is from DC/Maryland area so the Redskins and Ravens may have an edge. He hasn't been the same since the knee injury and steroids suspension.

It's especially tough for a speed/burst player (as in, guys not named Dan The Statue Marino) to come back from torn Achilles. I hope he can do it.

I haven't looked around much. I was just reading the Chron and saw that word and it reminded me of your post. It only happened a few hours ago so hopefully it's less severe than being reported but I doubt it.
