I hope Giannis will make it interesting if they play each other. They probably won't make the playoffs this year, stranger things have happened. So.
i know it's been almost 2 decades, but do the kings still have the same front office from the webber/divac/stojakovic days? that was a winning management if i ever saw one.
Questionable move for New Orleans. They already have DMo, who's basically the Lithuanian DeMarcus Cousins but with better box outs.
In all seriousness, I like this change of direction the Pelicans are taking. Whether it works or not remains to be seen. It's almost impossible to beat GSW with a perimeter oriented game since they have 4 of the best so Pelicans have decided we're going to go big and kill any team on the boards and in the low post. Add in a pass first PG, a couple of 3 and D wings and this could be one scary team. of course with Boogie the chemistry is always a question but this has the potential to throw several teams off. This is probably the best 4 and 5 we have seen in a long time.
It cringes me as an Indian-American to see an Indian immigrant run a team with no sense. this dude clearly did not watch basketball extensively before buying this team. he did it because he could and it was available. you just built a new arena and had a franchise player to head things. you were 1 spot out of making the playoffs for the first time in a long time. you fired mike malone? you traded isaiah thomas? you picked stauskas over payton? jeez dude. are you trying to move the team to mumbai? i'm sure a whole bunch of kings season ticket holders are calling for refunds today.
also, i love omer asik in all of this. dude was pissy when dwight was signed. you want some more of that sauce bro?
That trade wouldn't have been bad if with the 12th pick they wouldn't have taken Steven Adams but instead Clutchfan's darling the Greek Freak
That looks about right for Cousins value. The guy was about to get 200 mil, his contract is expiring, he has never made the playoffs, and is a cancer. Just happy he's not heading to the Rockets.
That was one theory I had on why the Rockets didn't get involved. There is a lot of risk in a Cousins trade, maybe too much when you're sitting at 40-18 and 3rd in the West. If the Rockets were in the Thunder's position, maybe they try to swing a deal for him. But considering we're behind only the Warriors who won 73 games last year and ADDED KEVIN DURANT and the Spurs who are coming off a 67 win season and replaced a retiring Duncan with a still effective(when healthy) Pau Gasol, why mess with a good thing?
Did Cousins already pack his bags during the All star break or does he have to go back to shitty Sacremento? Positive: This sets it up beautifully for Anthony Davis to the Rockets once that Pelicans locker room starts imploding. Did you see all those Harden to Davis alley oops and turnovers too? That be our future.
