What he did would have been perfectly legal in Texas. (with the exception of any of his traffic violations of course) LOL at everyone cracking on him for having three loaded weapons. The 2nd amendment doesn't put limits on the number of weapons you can own or choose to carry. Perhaps he was transporting them from one house to another, or for any other reason. Perhaps he was heading into a part of town that he felt extremely unsafe in. You just don't know the specifics. Having three firearms on your person is not whacko like so many of you are making out.
WE LIVE IN THE UNITED STATES IN 21ST CENTURY where in this country do you need 3 loaded weapons hidden in a guitar case? are you expecting to get jumped or ambushed by a small military? and you are a ridiculous stupid person to carry 3 loaded weapons while speeding...so imo he is an idiot, a whacko and any other name you wish to grant him, because just like plaxico it can ruin your career and it just isn't worth it
once again, we are cracking on him for being so stupid, crazy or not, it is STUPID do break a law while illegally carrying 3 loaded weapons, regardless of his mental status, einstein would be called an idiot if TODAY (not nazi germany) he was to speed on a motorcycle carrying loaded weapons concealed in a guitar case (that would be amazing to see)
ok. I get that you think he is stupid. But he has a disorder and IMO it is inappropriate to make fun and mock people that has obvious issues. Would you call a person with trisomy 21 stupid? Or make fun of people with Parkinsons? I just do not see the humor in any of this
i highly doubt 2 handguns and a shotgun would enable delonte to take on a "small army". could be wrong though.
Cavs' West arrested on weapons charges The 26-year-old West, who lives in Brandywine, was charged with speeding and weapons counts. It is illegal to carry concealed weapons and to transport loaded guns in Maryland, according to police. Reedy said West was released on his own recognizance early Friday. Mapquest has it as: Total Travel Estimates: 18 hours 33 minutes / 1179.28 miles from Texarkana, TX to Upper Marlboro, MD. So roughly an 18 hour ride before Texas law becomes relevant for Delonte West and his incident. I found no mention of Texas in the story linked above, so your mention of Texas is not even tangential to the story being discussed. If you wish to discuss Gun Control Laws: BBS Hangout: Debate & Discussion
On the radio here in DC, they said West was charged with the handgun violations, but the shotgun in the suitcase was not illegal. Hey, you got to be ready when you're going to PG. And yes, that is one cool ride.
