I ran into Sam Dekker at Amalfi restaurant on Saturday night. I didn't want to be a bother but I did ask him how his wrist was doing and he said fine. I asked him if he was going to play in the second round, and he said definitely. That was all I felt I had time to ask, since he was in the process of leaving with his date (a tall blond). Sorry guys, no photo to post of his date. I tried to upload a photo, but I can't seem to do it. I'm not sure if it's user error or I don't have privileges (I clicked on the image icon but it gives me a blank to fill on for a URL (didn't know what to do next). I can't figure how to upload from mydocs. Anyway, nothing surprising to know, but I hope he gets some burn in the second round and plays well. We need his athleticism to keep the spurs defense honest.
You will have to upload the photo to imgur instagram or twitter and than share the photo here using one of those host sites that will give the image it's own URL.
We desperately need him at back... not that he's gonna come out and make a big difference. But just to have that extra body in case ariza/ Anderson aren't playing good.
Good to have him back, even If he doesn't play. Would like to see him get a few minutes for development purposes. He needs to know the physicality of the playoffs going into the off-season. Otherwise I hope D'Antoni sticks to his 8 man rotation. I LOVE Gordon/Lou/Nene getting the minutes they deserve. With an injury or some foul trouble, I don't mind them going to Trez or Dekker. Dekker could probably play some decent minutes on Kawhi too.
Not a huge dekker guy but spurs struggle with athleticism. If he isnt rusty and is healthy we could use a couple slams
Wasn't there a few times where Trez had some good minutes/defense on Kawhi when he got switched to him? I swear Trez has underrated defense. Trez has that strength/youngin ability to match. Obviously Trez isn't going to win everytime, but whenever I see coach give Trez crucial minutes, it gets in Trez's head and he plays much better. Looking forward to seeing some of Trez this series. He could be another one of our x-factors.
Trez is a strange player man. It's really tough for me to think of a comparison, but I don't think The Matrix is it. They have some similarities, but Marion's positioning on defense was insane and he could defend 1-4. Offensively I could see them filling a similar role though. Trez is a proven finisher around the rim and certainly has some ball skills to go with it, but he desperately needs a corner three If he ever wants to play significant minutes for D'Antoni. I'd hate to see him develop it on another team.
