I would rather see him with Boston. He deserves a legit shot in the East to win a championship. If I were him I would be looking for a condo in Boston, LOL.

Since when does Morey sign the checks that play players?? I don't even think adelman has much of a choice either. Its Alexander's choice.

if we dont sign mutombo than i think were planning to do a trade for another big man with head/francis..the celtics could really use mutombo, if they sign him that makes them A LOT better..powe and davis are way to small and they could use mutombos veteran leadership

It's guaranteed Morey and Alexander are looking at another move before the deadline, a bigger addition than Deke. Mutombo should be a Rocket! But if Morey makes one of his patented moves with the wiggle room he's got now, I won't complain.

I'm sure Mutombo wanted to return to the rox early on. The rox on the other hand took it for granted(while handling other important issues like resigning landry) that he would come back for $5.50 an hour of court playing time. Now, Mutombo along with his agent are looking at other teams that that, wait for it, here it comes....other teams that can stay HEALTHY like Mutombo. Thats right, 42 yr old Mutombo is healthier than all of the rox combined. Even when Mutombo played more minutes, he was never hurt.

Go Mutombo, I welcome you back and hope the rox get healthy and make an impressive run--but if you go to Boston and retire with a ring--well thats great for you.

Can someone make a thread of this. I'm still a rookie so I can't make a thread. Ron Artest will be coming OFF THE BENCH from now on. But he will still get a lot of minutes. I think this is best for the Rockets

holy **** imagine the celtics defense with Mutombo. KG + Mutombo in the interior = ZERO points in the paint for the opposition. not to mention zero offensive rebounds. Mutombo deserves to win a ring. he should go to Boston.

I'm sure this is a negotiation ploy. But, I do think its stupid to get Deke to consider other teams and their proposals now, since that will just up what they have to pay him.

Morey has always said that they planned to bring Deke back, when the subject of getting a big man came up.

... but, this is letting it get too far down the road, and he'll feel disrespected, which is not the way to treat Deke, and will cost them, just like it did Landry.

If we lose Deke to Boston, that would be a tragedy.

If we don't resign him, it will be a real tragedy. He mad history on our team on moving up the ranks as one of the GREATEST shot blockers of all time, against the Lakers I think. Heres hoping we get this under appreciated humanitarian back, we need you Deke.
