    There is no such thing as the "next" Larry Bird. Or the "euro" Bird. He is one of a kind.

    But Rex Chapman really was the Canadien Jordan. :rolleyes:

    For the price of a 2, and he has some game? He could help next year?

    Why not?

    1995? How long does a team retain draft rights?

    i would rather have the rockets draft ronald blackshear, troy bell, Dahntay Jones, Josh Howard, Chris Thomas, James Lang, or even Slavko Vranes. these are all better than drafting dejan bodiroga and the rockets can get them all in the 2nd round.

    Dejan Bodiroga?

    Two words --> "Antoine Rigaudeau"

    He did wonders for the Mavs this year eh? :rolleyes:

    How about we work on getting Nachbar more time before we bring in another "European Larry Bird."

    Hhhmmm, let's see. I guy who we're going to have to give up more than we won't to for, pay more than we want to for, who's too old and slow (we have enough so called "shooters" (ex: Rice, Boki), and we're shaky if he'll even pan out as a reserve, sounds like a typical Rocket's Management thing to do,.....but why not just sign Boki to a Cato type contract and give Rice a big bonus to stay with us for a few more years.
    Seriously though, lets just give Boki some play time before we try this crap.

    NOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!
    I have watched a lot of Euroleague games this year,,,,, and he's seriously the most boring basketball player I have ever watched! He is SO slow and he got nothing to do in the up-tempo NBA game. I am 100% sure he will be a flop if we bring him in.
    And his long range shots aren't that good either. DO NOT PERSUE BODIROGA!

    Some points:
    he is way better, then boki or rigadeu. they may be more athletic, but athletism does not wins a games. counts this, whats is in the head. and bodiroga is winner.
    he is slow, but when he went on fourth quarter in world championships against US team one-on-one with anybody, he scored or went to line, when he was 2-2. no nba player didnt stop him.
    what you need more - he is palyer, who does his job always alost perfect. and he knows how to win.
    does he goes to america - no : points are above. especially in ESPN article.
