I’m going to note that Europe also us some pretty big problems with race. Neo Nazi groups are active in Germany and several Other European countries and leaders like Viktor Orban has spoken out against race mixing and “Asiatics” overrunning Hungary.
DEI is about basic human decency. It works fine as a moral guideline. Humans are diverse, and morally, we all should be inclusive and treat everyone equally. It’s a simple concept. Practically, there hasn’t been any issue with DEI at the company I work at. It simply made the working environment one of respect for each other. Nothing is forced upon anyone. I think the outrage on this is yet another internet-driven phenomenon that might have some truth in some corners but isn’t an issue in most places. In fact, it helps create an inclusive and friendly environment for all. That concept might be foreign to Musk, giving his record of screwing over his employees.
Yeah, there are some places here in US that are absolutely beautiful in terms of mixing the cultural pot where you'd find 5-6 cultures on the same block. It brings such joy for me to see. Haven't seen this in Europe/Russia. Leave it to the toxic crap hole like Twitter and its weirdo in chief to talk that stuff down by pointing out fringe outliers and saying "lol" a lot
I don't want to be on a less safe plane so that the CEO of Boeing gets a higher bonus because he hits his DEI target.
believe that must be from the JHU medical college https://www.hopkinsmedicine.org/diversity/about-us/letters-from-leadership
Funny to see contributing members of a forum spam posts from another forum non-stop. Although it was great when JR did it. Spamming woj bombs and unbiased bball news is da bomb. Spamming non-funny tweets by eccentric billionaire pretending to care whether I'm safe flying my lowly economy alaskan air window seat is not it. Still I'm "guilty" of privilege to fly and super happy for it. Days of being scared to trust people of all colors to do well in their in jobs are long gone and left in college.
Wow.....it's not like Boeing had issues with their planes before 2022 which led to the previous ceo getting fired huh? Lololol Blaming DEI for corporate greed is fkin hilarious
I guess you haven't been paying much attention (shocking!) for quite some time https://www.theatlantic.com/ideas/archive/2019/11/how-boeing-lost-its-bearings/602188/; you can read here: https://archive.is/q5pQV This is an incredibly depressing documentary: https://www.netflix.com/title/81272421
Those kind of folks worship corpos that break workers backs in order to save pennies and look good on the stock market. DEI will always be their first go-to when private entities fail at something.
reminds one of the ACORN!!1!!1! hysteria back in tha day. Maybe a canary or canard in the coal-fired plant.
@AroundTheWorld literally did the exact same **** with the SVB bank collapse. They quickly ran and blame DEI for the bank failing its customers and blamed minorities in the bank. Shortly after it was discovered that SVB wasn't holding enough long term hedges and aggressively gambled away customers funds without proper safeguards. Now the same donkeys wanna blame Boeings issues on DEI when in reality boeing shouldn't have been outsourcing vital installations to third party contractors but the same donkeys will blame DEI instead of corporate greed. Corporate America is sitting back laughing their ass off. They can scam shareholders and if something goes wrong wrong they know folks will blame DEI lol. Right wingers are such illiterate dipshits
That low depth submarine implosion comes ro mind as well. It was typical startup "disruption" bro culture where a cult of personality is built up for VC lending and cut corners were made in the name of "failing fast, failing often." Instead, xhitter shills were cherry picking "woke quotes" to plaster as the root cause.
