I have no idea... Guess it's just a luv fest for Shumpert... He's no where near better than Jimmy Butler.... And guys like Jimmy and Deng can be got from Chicago. Probably easier than getting Shumpert.
Deng yes... Butler hell no. A big reason why they are wanting to move Deng so bad is cause of Butler's emergence. He's not going anywhere unless he's used in a blockbuster trade to bring in another star level player.
butler is out for a few weeks. Shumpert is on the trade block, knicks have tried to trade him this year. I would take butler over shump also because of his cheaper contract $1,500,000 2013-2015 & no knee issues like shump, but not sure if the bulls would trade him.
He is better than most of those guys, but since he's so young, I doubt they would trade him, especially with Deng expiring soon.
Actually I've heard that Chicago has been wanting to move Deng for the past couple of years, before Jimmy Boii started stepping up. If Chicago can get the offensive player they want _ they would move Jimmy... But I would be happy with either one. Both of those guys are upgrades over Parsons.
I'd rather have Terrence Ross or Glen Rice Jr over Shumpert as well. They both have the makeup to be good defenders (especially Ross) and both have much better offensive games. But truthfully _ I think the coaches need to do some coaching regardless of who they get. But a veteran like Deng would be able to help teach the coaches and the other young players because of the system he comes from.
They need someone, off the bench is fine. Only one of either casspi or Cisco should be in the rotation
I posted it in the random trade thread but, i wanted some opinion on it... To Orlando; Asik, 1st round pick, 2nd round pick To Houston; Afflalo, T Harris I would figure Orlando is one of the tanking teams. Afflalo is a good defender that can play off the ball. Harris looked good last season after the Bucks moved him. 6'9 235, 7 foot wingspan, can play 4 and some 3.
No way the Magic are going to move Harris, especially not for a 27 year old Omer Asik, he is one of their best players and he's much younger than Asik.
Your point and I dont know if they would help-out a Dwight team. Afflalo would be the kinda wing defender we need, some one who doesn't need the ball, moves without the ball and can shoot threes/score if open or needed.
