Rick Adelman manages each game just fine. Adelman focus' on the complexion of the game..and the rythm of how he feels each of his players match up. For example..

Put it this way..in a very tight game..would you prefer to have Budinger gaurding Brewer/Ellington (who's much quicker) and Scola guarding Jefferson (who obviously dominated the boards against Scola)..

    - Or the way Rick Adelman thinks (which clearly makes sense) putting Hayes on Jefferson and Ariza on Brewer/Ellington, increased their defensive intensity which- percentage wise, can decrease their chances of scoring & rebounding.

It all makes sense..or else Rick Adelman wouldn't have 900+ wins...and have a lifetime 60%+ career winning percentage..

It baffles me people can criticize a coach that currently has his team OVERACHIEVING, and in the playoff race. The key question is whether this teams success is a result of the collection of players only, or a result of the collection of players + Adelman.

I don't think this team would be having the same success with any other coach. In fact, the reason Adelman is a great coach is because he consistently has his teams compete when no one believes they can or should be doing so.

Every coach is stubborn as is going to stick with the guys who played the best throughout the game. Also not every coach has the luxury of going to elite players at the end of games.

22-17...very much in the playoff hunt....have beaten some damn good teams this season.....no go-to player in the clutch, yet still find ways to pull out games.....this thread. One of these things does not belong.

So true esp. when while reading through the thread I felt like we could replace RA with JVG and I'd be reading the same thread from a few years ago....

A win is a win is a win.

Coach did everything he needed to do to win the game, cause of course that's what you play for! ;)

If we would have lost this game at home against an under .500 T'Wolves team I can't imagine the pandimonium that would be going around on this board. Thank God that's not the case.

And still in a win you question the coach's, coaching ability. If we are all such hot shot GM's and Coach's I don't see any reason not to go to Rockets management and apply for Rick's job.

It gets ridiculous here at times I swear.

cannot believe this stupid thread is still doing. It is laughable some random nob trying to teach Adelman how to coach in NBA.

Meanwhile, Adelman is in the running for Coach of the Year. People here never cease to amaze me.

Shaq and Kobe had depth? Oh you meant legendary players like Rick Fox

Kobe was just a rookie and was a selfish ballhog at the time Shaq was indeed unstoppable but the Kings' had Webber and Bibby in his prime. Ironically, the Kings did prevail against the Lakers (but got jobbed), so you're whole point of them being ustoppable just wasn't true.

All of life's lessons and NBA strategies can be gleaned from episodes of South Park.

Lenny Wilkens. He even won a title, but I never thought he was that great of a coach.

Wallace and Hedo of back then weren't the same Wallace and Hedo of today. They won that series too, the refs screwed them over. Can't hold it against Adelman to beat the team with the GOAT either. What happened with Jackson's Hall-of-Fame squad vs the supposed "no star" Pistons?

We've beat the Lakers in half our meetings since losing Tracy McGrady. What does that say about the Rockets?
