I think you are both off-base... you, pgabriel, for bringing this into a thread about Trader-J and his weak stomach, and you, F.D. Khan, for thinking that private charities can take care of every poor person's needs and that all government programs are inefficient. These are topics deserving of the other forum if they're worthy of discussion. But that's just my opinion.
Back to the subject.... T_J, I hope your oral problem is resolved with this minor medical procedure. I am one that can drink plenty of beer and down spicy food and sleep like a baby at night. Good Luck.
Good lord, my deductible is $1,000 for this stupid procedure. Does this sound high to anyone else? I can think of more enjoyable ways to drop $1,000. pgabriel -- quit trying to start trouble.
I apologize for derailing the thread. I couldn't let that pass. I try to refrain from getting personal on here, but some things I can't help take exception to. I have no problem with anyone who comes from a wealthy family, I went to private school and have many wealthy friends. I especially applaud the one's who chose to build on their advantages in life as Khan has. I'm not trying to embarrass him.
$1,000???? Sounds very high to me. And yes, T_J, I have full faith that you can think of more enjoyable ways to spend $1,000...... 1,000/20 = 50 50 X 3 1/2 minutes (average length of a song) = 175 minutes 175 minutes/60 = 2.91666666666667 hours of pure Treasure!!!
TJ, stop lamenting the free market at work. It is glorious...GLORIOUS that you have to opportunity to pay $1,000 rather than having some sugar daddy health insurance co. foot the bill. Surely you value your well being at much more than a thousand measly dollars? My dear boy, you are getting an absolute bargain! If only it were higher, then we would all be maximizing utility.....
I would rather not because I have been too personal already, but it shouldn't be too hard to find. Its all in the name.
Good luck, T_J. I've battled heartburn, and it's no fun. I'm on medication for it right now, but I've found that losing weight, cutting back on alcohol and not eating after 7 p.m. were good alternatives.
Hahah...Wow Sam, I don't know where you got that from!. That is FAR from me and my company. My office isn't in Hyderabad!! And my hours aren't 9:00 till 22:00 either!! And Pgabrial, just to set the record straight, I founded the firm myself and didn't use lawyers, just researched through the SEC and State Sec Boards. There is little cost if you research how to contract with government agencies yourself. Again, hard work is more vital than an open checkbook, which I did not have. My father is on my board of directors as a tribute to what I have learned from him. It also added credibility when a 20 year old kid wants business from an individual or a company. I have on many occasions stated my name and my firm on this BBS as well as stated personal information. I am not embarassed of who I am and I use my name as my signon, though I know it is easily traced to me.
The one Sam posted is a clothing powerhouse in Hyderabad India, it specializes in making Uniforms for school children in India and all over the Middle East. I would know, I used to get all my school Uniforms from this place. And ofcourse it is in HYDERABAD, half my family is from there.
pgabriel, If you knew his website, why are you so shocked to JUST now figure out that his father is a doctor?
It's more like a reflection of the irony of someone's posts coming to bite them in the a*#. I've had insurance with $1000 dollar deductible and insurance with zero deductible for necessary surgery. It's a free market. Complain to your employer about your insurance and get it changed or change jobs. Or go further up and change the medical system.
