Well........can't believe such low class and low taste fabricated news in US media........

This is from today's sports.com/Titan Sports, an article from Yang Yi on Yao Ming's reaction to the bad-taste joke:

While I appreciate your article translation which seems to be so very time consuming, your self righteous attitude towards most subjects not Chinese is quite annoying. I'm going to hope that alot of this is just due to lost in translationism that brings about a sharp, irrational, spiteful tone which is really covering up a much more charming persona.

Wait, are you telling me there are no such things as tabloids in China yet? Because if not, I'm RICH!

Olajuwan did NOT retire with "white hair". In fact, recent photos of him show he still has his dark hair. And I don't think he was 45 when he retired either. He's probably that age right now, although some people say he is older than he says he is.

There are. But the Chinese probably do not know which ones are tabloids in the western media yet, so they just take everything too seriously from some tabloids.

hey pryuen.. definately appreciate the translations (well i can read chinese too) but much thanks to the rest of the members who cant read. but yea as of late i did notice his attitude.. like when he doubted and questioned someones sighting of yao...
but i think he just one of those CRAZY obssessed yao fans where he gets kinda jealous when someone else see's yao and he doesnt. or if someone has news about or against yao.. he takes big offence of it..
heh anyways thats fine with me .. he's a big yao fan :)

    LOL!

BTW, what is up with all the wrinkles Yao? I'm twice your age and you got more wrinkles than me, take care of yourself big man!

Nia Long is hot, I'd hit it if I was still single...but then again I'd hit a lot of sh*t when I was single. :)

I was watching the rockets nugget game on ESPN and the announcer said that Yao may be out a little longer than anticipated. Is this true?

Billups is looking for a max deal. Tayshaun Prince is the only other guy we would take. But if all else fails, we could get this defensive specialist.

Well, it is very likely so.

He got injured on December 23 or 24 (?) Preliminary estimate from Keith Jones/Doctors from Memorial Hermann Hospital was that his tribia fracture will heal in 6 weeks time, before he can resume genuine rehabilitation training, which probably will take at least 2 to 3 weeks, which meant he could return to court end of February, missing the NBA All Stars.

After doing the medical check in Chicago by Brian Cole, the date was set to 8 weeks before the fracture will heal before he could start active rehabilitation training.

That will probably push the date back to 1 or 2nd week of March before he could return to court.

Nia long is in the February issue of Essence Magazine. It mentions that her bf and her ex got into a fight at the mall. Her babydaddy beat up her bf in the mall. If that is Yao, I think we would have heard about him beating up some guy in a mall.

    http://www.essence.com/essence/themix/entertainment/0,16109,1574027,00.html

OK, now about that situation at The Grove, an upscale mall in LA. Yep, Essence went there:

Essence: So there really was a fight?

Nia Long: Yes. But I want to get this straight: It wasn’t my fault. I didn’t start it; I didn’t throw any punches. It was one man’s ego against another man’s pride. It was all about them.

Essence: But how do two grown men start fighting at a mall?

Nia Long: What happened was, I’d gone out to dinner with my son and a friend of mine. This was the first time I’d ever brought my child around someone I was dating, so it was a big deal. After dinner, my son’s father [to whom Long was previously engaged; the couple broke up when their son was a toddler] needed to pick him up, so I told him to meet me. Really, I had no intention of introducing him to my friend right then, because my life is my business. He knows I’m a good mother, and that’s the most important thing. But he got to the mall a lot faster than I thought he would. It’s like he put on his Batman wings and flew [laughing]. When I saw him I thought, Okay, this is nothing to get excited about, and I introduced him to my friend. They shook hands, and then I guess my son’s father just got emotional, because he basically punched my friend in the face.

Essence: Did the friend you were with happen to be 21-year-old first-round NFL draft pick Reggie Bush? Because that’s what I heard.

N.L.: I’ve never even met Reggie Bush! Actually, that’s not true. Just before he signed his contract (with the New Orleans Saints) I was at an NFL party in New York, and this man comes up and asks if his boy can take a picture with me. His boy is like, “Hi, I’m Reggie.” We shake hands, that’s all, and the next thing I know, I’m his girlfriend. After the fight, everyone was calling me, asking, “Did Reggie Bush beat up your child’s father?” And I was like, What? Essence: So who was the guy at the mall?

N.L.: Nobody famous. Just someone I was dating. We’re not even seeing each other anymore. The thing is, where I come from, having spent some of my youth in South Central and part of my youth in Brooklyn, this wasn’t that big a deal, except that I’m famous, and it really isn’t a good look. Do you know I’m not even allowed to go to The Grove for a year? We’ve all been banned! But, whatever. They don’t have any good shoe stores there, anyway.

Just great! What's your point? Just because he disagrees with American tabloit, he is then annoying, no matter how much he had done, and to all our benefits?
Hmm, wondering if you work for one of those tabloits yourself?
