That's not rehabbing, it's maintaining a level of fitness. rehabbing is when he starts work on his knee. Stay in bed Yao.
apperently his a close friend of Yao so his link is Yao Ming! based on what he has been telling clutch fans.
There's also a link to video of the interview. Even though they claim it was an exclusive some of the quotes are also in the Chronicle article that quoted a Chinese newspaper. link. Yao Ming Hoping for Better Prognosis from Doctors Rockets star scheduled to see doctors next week Last Edited: Friday, 29 Dec 2006, 9:37 PM CST Created: Friday, 29 Dec 2006, 5:47 PM CST Yao Ming is hoping doctors will give him a better prognosis when he checks in with them next week.. The Rockets giant center told FOX 26 on Friday that he is scheduled to consult with doctors then to check on the progress from the broken bone under his right knee. Yao suffered the break last week and doctors initially said he would be out of action until early February. In his first interview since the injury, Yao tells FOX 26 he and the Rockets will have a better understanding of where things are when he meets with doctors next week. "They told me six weeks," Yao said. "Next week they are going to take x-ray pictures, see what's going on and probably (it) will be more clear after that." It's the third time in the last 12 months Yao has had to go through a rehabilitation process after an injury. "It's really hard," Yao said. "This is the best year I have ever had for my team and for me personally. Right now I have to re-start for everything, conditioning, skill (work). It's really frustrating." Yao was off to a magnificent start and was already being mentioned as a Most Valuable Player award candidate. He's dealing with the layoff the best he can. "When you have some bad times, you need to think about something good, make yourself happy," Yao said. "You can't always think about bad (things). I can have more time to spend with family, play video games, eat ice cream, gain weight. "I mean, that's not good actually."
Can't find time for a line per line, word per word translation for the following 2 articles from Wang Meng of Titan Sports. In any case, just provide you guys with a summary of what is covered in the articles. And given Wang Meng's past creditability, read it with grain of slats.............. Now the first one.
Sequel 2 of the above article (an article on details of Yao Ming strength and conditioning exercise conducted by Anthony Falsone) will come in another 4 to 5 hours time. Stay Tune.
Yao will practice shooting sitting on the wheel chair probably. No other Rocekts work as hard as he does.
So as promised, here you are...........the sequel of the previous article from Wang Meng on how Anthony Falsone is working with Yao Ming on his limited strength and conditioning training to keep his strength and muscle fitness of the upper limbs.
i sincerely hope this type of training won't increase the possibility of right foot injury since it has been in fragile status already. again, thank you pryuen for sharing the information.
That is a great report on Yao. Falsone has done a excellent job on YM since he came into the league and it seems that evertime Yao comes back from injury he is even better and stronger. Falsone deserves alot of credit for his physical development and quick healing. I am curious as to Yao Mings nutritional intake status? There are many food adjustments that can be taken to make hasty recuperation from injury.
I wonder why Yao doenst build a home gym so he doesnt need to walk on cruthes to TC. The less he puts pressure on that right leg, the better it is. Also, are yall concerned Yao would end up with one leg bigger than the other with that one paddle excercise.
falsone has done wonders with yao ming and i'm totally confident in yao coming back strong with that guy watching over him. i'd love to see tracy use him on the offseason as well.
I would love to see that as well but it's not gonna happen since T-Mac works out with his own personal trainer. (a childhood friend)
Why don't they stick him on the Microcurrent machine like they did McGrady? It helped Terrell Owens with his fracture.
