pryuen Thanks for all your hard work. I really appreciate that. Hopefully it is the last time u need to start such kind of thread and Yao keeps healthy for ever.
I CANT"T WAIT for TONIGHTS game!!!! I changed my whole schedule around so I could attend tonights game...I was supposed to go out of town but i'm staying just in case Yao is returning tonight...I have a feeling he will be in the lineup.....I just want to be at the game when he does eventhough I'm not expecting big things in his first game back.....he should get a long loud standing ovation....
So FINALLY !!! According to what was reported in this sina.com article, Yao Ming finally found his latest pair of brace, the 5th pair, a smaller but tighter brace, the most comfortable one. And he was running, and jumping with relative ease and comfort, and even managed to dunk a couple times in today's pre-game team practice in Toyota Centre, prior to the game with San Antonio Spurs. http://sports.sina.com.cn/k/2007-03-04/09172779857.shtml
Almost there !!! Yao Ming is running, jumping, hooking, fading away, and dunking just the way like when he was not injured......... CLICK HERE FOR MORE PHOTOS
Pryuen, haven't followed the entire discussion, but no matter what anyone says, I give this thread 5-STARS. Keep up the great work!!!
wow!! yea i was just about to say, his arms look massive in that pic! think he'll be back for monday's game?? I wish they would have a practice tomorrow.. if they did i'd think yao would be playing for sure on monday. but i guess even these guys need sunday off I read somewhere that jvg is going easier on practices...?
I notice those two. It just tells you how hard he has been working all these years. He might not be the most talented one but certainly the most hard working one. This is what makes him so special.
Doctor's orders. An extra week or two to be safe won't hurt. He's only had one contact practice to test it.
If you really have to count, it was only 10 weeks from December 23 the date he was injured. The bone fracture alone took 6 ~ 8 weeks to heal. Other than that, he has to rehabilitate from Ground Zero..........and there has not yet any really intense physical/contact basketball to test him out. No need to rush him.....Just keep his schedule of another 7 to 10 days....
pryuen, great job. A lot better than most of the threads started lately. I gave your thread 5 stars. Would give you ten starts if that's possible. Truely one of the great thread of all time, admire you dedication for translating all these tibits of info that Rockets fan are hungry for.
I've never seen Yao looked that fit and determined in his 5 yrs in the NBA even right before the injury.... What the hell kind of juice is he taking?
